Free Shipping Location: Japan This is a vintage Daisy Heddon Model 320 Fly Reel. It is in excellent working condition with no mechanical problems. Look at all the photos for the cosmetic ... morecondition. Note that the reel and spool were marked in black. But this appears to be black nail polish, which can be fairly easily scraped off with a fingernail without marring the reel's finish. I will leave finishing that job to the new owner. The(very) old fly line(a Scientific Anglers Air Cel Wet Tip WF-6-F/S) and old backing are included, but may not be fishable. It is now set up for left-hand wind, but can be easily changed to right-hand wind. This classic reel belonged to my Dad, and I remember him buying a couple of these as spares in the 1960's, and this one, while more than 50 years old, likely wasn't used very much. I managed to lose the one he gave me at some point about 30 years ago. The reel frame is 3 1/2 inches in outside diameter and 1 inch wide. The spool is 3 1/8 inches in outside diameter and 3/4 inch wide. What is interesting about these reels is that they were assembled in the USA out of parts made in Japan(as marked on the reel foot) and they were high quality but relatively inexpensive reels. As you can see, the Heddon 320 is essentially a copy of the classic Hardy Lightweight fly reel. I am not sure if parts are interchangeable. These Heddon 320's are quite rare(certainly more rare than the Hardy reels) and extremely hard to find in this condition. An essential for your collection, even if you only collect Hardy reels, but the reel can also be used for any fresh-water fly fishing. I have too many fly reels that I don't use, so I am thinning the herd. I will be listing some other fly reels and duck calls this week, so take a look at my other auctions. I accept only Paypal. The reel measures 2 9/16 inches across and has"The St. George Junior. Pat. No. 24245, 9261Size 3 3/8" Made By Hardy Bros. Ltd. Alnwick, England" impressed in to the back plate. The ribbed alloy foot has"Pat. No. 272409" impressed into the side, this is sturdy and well attached, as is the ebonite handle. The agate lined line guide appears to a replacement and there is a hairline crack across the rim by the line guide, however the reel is still solid and ... moresturdy, the rim regulator screw moves fine. The reel revolves well with a good smooth action and there is no play when the face plate is rocked. The three screw release latch works fine. The reel has the number"12" impressed in to the rear of the spool. The reel has the usual scratches and scuffs that you would expect from the years of use. here is a rare hardy featherweight fly reel. As you can see from pics it has been stored badly but, the check is as good as the day it was made as i have tried it with the pawls in from another reel, there is a tiny chip out of the foot but this does not affect the reels workings at all, it has the 2 screw line guide, if you wanted to use this reel it would be perfect and would last forever all that lets it down is the tatty finish easily sorted with a rub down and respray. all it needs is the pawls to make it a nice working vintage reel Check out my!

VINTAGE ALLOY AND BRASS FLY REEL. IT IS 3.5 INS IN DIAMETER BY 1.25 INS WIDE. IT IS A SILVER COLOUR. HAVING LOST ALL OF IT'S ORIGINAL BLACK LEADED FINISH. BRASS FOOT AND CRAZED IVORINE HANDLE. THE INNER RIM APPEARS TO HAVE HAD A SLIGHT SOLDER REPAIR AT SOME TIME IN THE PAST AND THERE IS SLIGHT WEAR ON THE SPINDLE. ON THE INSIDE OF THE CASE AND ALSO ON THE BACK OF THE SPOOL THERE ARE FEINT STAMPS WHICH LOOK LIKE- D 3 OR D 8. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS MEANS IT WAS MADE BY W. DINGLEY AN EX HARDY CRAFTSMAN. You are bidding on a vintage. Rare, custom made fly reel made by W.A. Adams of West Haven Ct. back in the late 80's, with shearling monogramed suede leather case, in absolute pristine condition~ never got wet ~ never went fishing ~ never saw a rod! It is one of the finest machined bar stock aluminum fly reels, with perforated bakelite side plates, 3" diameter, the spool 1" deep and 1" wide. The frame of the reel has three pillars, just like a Zwarg, Vom Hofe. The machining is so fine that there are no machine marks. It has a permanent adjustable click drag that is either left hand wind or right hand wind. There is a zonolite crank handle with counter-balancing weight and an"S" shaped handle, just like a Bogdan, or Walker, or Zwarg or Vom hofe. The spool is mounted with a two screw release latch, just like the ... moreEnglish reels. The spool and back plate with the famous three rows of perforations as just like those made"across the pond" There is an adjustable drag knob on the back together with the engraved plate of: W.A.Adams, U.S.A. here is a excellent 4 inch salmon perfect made by thomas appleby reel maker at hardy alnwick. This is a rare reel i presume as he did not make perfects as a rule, the reel is in fantastic usable condition as you can see from pics, no play or wobbles, great check and lovely patina, the mark on the spool side is from a sticker and will come of but i did not remove as it might ruin the patina. it is ready for a life time of salmon fishing or to collect, they dont come much better usable wise Check out my!

here is a great 4 inch salmon reel made by jimmy smith reel maker at alnwick england. the reel is in fantastic working order with no play on spindle or any faults at all. The only thing i can see that i must point out is the tiny bit of pitting on the one part of the edge, you can see this in pics it really makes no difference to the reel at all. it has chunky black handle and ribbed brass foot. this is a sort after reel at a great price ready for the new season.i do not wish to put down any other salmon reels for sale on ebay but if you look you will see that the salmon perfects i have for sale are in far better condition compared to the others listed and far cheaper starting price. First of all. I know nothing about fly reels. Feel free to ask questions, but I won't have many answers! This was a reel belonging to my father. It is a Shakespeare 1821 OK Automatic fly reel. It appears in good working condition, the mechanicals move without complaint. There was some paperwork in the box the reel was in. I've displayed it and the box as well. The box is frayed in a few places, about what you'd expect for its age. This is an auction so you get to determine what it's worth- I have no idea. Regardless. You are considering a vintage Pfleuger Medalist# 1495 fly reel. This reel isover 40 years old and it is still fully functional. There is a full load of backing and an old fly line on the spool but I don't consider either to be any good now. I left the line and backing on the reel for the collector to show if he or she desired. The picture shows a bad case of rash on the reel. This is not unusual for a Medalist of this age. The paint abrades off leaving the raw aluminum showing. The reel can be fished and the metal showing through will have no effect on operation. Antique/Vintage Bamboo Fishing Rod with un-marked fly reel
This Rod is 5'6" long and very old. I have had it for over twenty years as a wall display. I have tried to find the make. But no luck. It is a two piece bamboo construction. The reel has no markings on it to determine the manufacturer, however it is newer than the rod. This would provide someone else with a wall piece as it has for me. Need to rid ourselves of things, so this piece is a must go. This is not a business. We are just 2 people with full time jobs who enjoy a hobby selling items we have picked up at rummage sales, estate sales, etc. I enjoy finding vintage items but don't have room for collections, so I love to pass these items on to homes where they will be treasured. We are not experts and descriptive words such as"excellent condition and minor wear" are just an opinion. I will always be honest and list ... moreall flaws that I notice but, again, I am not an expert so please ask questions or ask for extra pictures before buying. I HAVE FOR SALE A MUCH LOVED VINTAGE REEL A HARDY ST JOHN MK 2 FLY FISHING REEL I HAVE USED THE REEL OVER THE YEARS SO DOES COME WITH THE BATTLE SCARS OF WARING WITH THE RIVERS. BUT IS STILL IN GOOD CONDITION AND IS READY FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF FAITHFUL SERVICE FOR A NEW HUNTER. COMES WITH LINE AND EYELET THESE ARE NOW BECOMING VERY HARD TO FIND.
