Boron IIx in great condition. Look at the pictures of the cork! very small hairline abrasions on blank and on reel seat due to normal wear. I take excellent care of my rods. Clean cork often, wipe down after every trip. It is very hard to part with this rod, but I am making room for a new Hardy. This is a sweet, light weight fast, but not too fast beautiful rod like only Winston can make. I personally think this outcasts any of the newer Boron models. I'm thinning out the rod collection to fund a project. 8 1/2' 5 wt. Winston Boron IIIx rod. I bought on a whim. Lawn cast it a bit, then a day of fishing up at Lee's Ferry. Grip doesn't even have soiling. The end cap on the seat barely has any scratches, and that's from being on dispaly in a shop. The tube has a couple small scuffs, but I still have the plastic shipping sleeve for it. There really are nice casting rods, but something had to go and I have more 5 weights than anything else.
