Jumper horse by Herschell Spillman from a carousel that was at Reynolds Park in Winston-Salem NC. Carousel was dismantled in the mid to late 1960's. Horse has been stripped of its paint. Has original bridle. Reins, horseshoes, stirrup and underbelly plate. The horse is about 3' x 4' x 16" The horse shoes are unmarked. The tail has been on there since my father bought it at the auction of the carousel in 1969. I have another and the tail is the same. I suspect it may have originally been a real hair tail and was modified in the 50s for less maintenance.

On the front, the partial sticker is of a Maple leaf with the words Niagra Falls, Canada underneath. Under the photo lithograph of FDR and Churchill it reads- F. D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill. Atlantic Meeting, 1941. This is the same ashtray found in the New York Historical Society Museum, Luce Center. There is over-all crazing and slight wear to the gold rimming. This auction is for the wonderful Winston bear#6478 from Gund. The back tags show"100 Years of Hugs" There is a smaller white tag showing the number 07067. He also comes with his"Celebrating America's Teddy Bear Gund" tag. I've seen a lot of stuffed bears and for me Gund is unique in the textures they use for thier bears. Winston has wonderful smooth hair on his body. His feet and hands are a suede kind of material and his snout and inside of his ears are more splotchy kind of hair shorter than his body. He is also wearing a wonderful corduroy tan with red flowers on it. He is approx 11" He is in wonderful condition with no tears or stains. RARE ca. 1953 R.L. Winston Rod Co. History Brochure STONER MERRICK LOSKOT
I don't recall seeing too many of these over the years. It's an original ca. 1953 R.L. Winston Rod Co. four-page foldout brochure/catalog written by W.H. Red" Loskot. Douglas Merrick, and the one and only great Lew Stoner. The address on the front is the classic 684-6 Harrison Street(near Third) in San Francisco, where some of the greatest fly rods in history were made. It's 4.25" x 5.5" printed in three color and including a few illustrations. It contains a brief history of the hollow fluted rod that made Winston famous. There is some question as to the exact date this came out; it definitely came out during Lew Stoner's lifetime(he died in 1957) and before Merrick bought Loskot out in late 1953. I suspect it is from 1953 but possibly could have come out in 1952. I have been told this brochure can be found ... morewith only Stoner and Merrick's name on it, which would imply a second printing(making this a first printing) but I have not been able to verify it. I believe it is referenced in the excellent"The Lew Stoner Winston Letters" book from The Whitefish Press. It's in nice condition with only minor general wear. vintage 60's winston japanese electric guitar with wammy bar
This is a vintage Winston Japanese guitar from the 60's. Much like the Sears Silvertones guitars this was marketed as a beginners guitar. The guitar is in good shape for its age and there are no major scratches. I've played it a few times and it plays fine. But the volume nob does sound a bit"scratchy" when you turn it up or down, which I believe is due to dirty pots. The screw on the bottom where the strap attaches is also a bent, but works fine. The original owner also put a Beatles patch on the guitar, which I never removed because I liked it. I think if you wanted to remove it you could probably remove the adhesive relatively easily with some vinegar or something.

The sop is in great shape a few small dimples from music stands and a small scratch. But you have to look for it. The finish is as good as the photos looks and it plays fantastic. The 3 mouthpiece are matched great with the horn. I did add a 3rd MP to the listing and went up $14 I all ready put money in the horn so you don't have to. I think they label this as a intermediate horn but I would put this horn up there with a pro horn. The ergonomic of it are incredible. You are going to like the spatula(Left ... morePinky) keys. Are laid out perfectly. The Buescher is from the 30's or 40's it was opened up recently to a.073 by one of New York's finest mouthpiece craftsman. The tone that it produces is and incredible warm sound. Being a short shank mouthpiece the optimum Vandoren works pretty good. I will be keeping the ligature. The Yani kicks butt. The upper register pops right out. and great intonation. The Bobby Dukoff was refaced by one of the east cost MP craftsman. 073 plays with some balls. Please let me know if you have any?
