Winston WT Fly Rod 8'6" 5 Weight
Very nice rod. Selling only because I bought a similar three piece rod which travels a little easier. The only issue with this rod, if it is an issue, is that a couple of thread wraps came off the tip ferrule section which I have tried to show in the last picture. Otherwise the rod is in very nice condition and is a wonderdul casting rod. The tube was lost so I bought the DB Dun hard case.

Winston fly rod IM6XD 9ft 9wt 2pc.
This rod is in an older model but remains in very good condition. The cork grip is very clean with no chips. The coating on the wraps has dulled somewhat but the blank itself is in very good condition. There is some slight rusting at the foot of the 3 stripping guides as pictured in the last photo. Original metal tube included as pictured. I currently have too many rods and am in the process of selling off a few.

First printing, first state of Churchill's extremely popular autobiography, covering the years from his birth in 1874 to his first few years in Parliament. The plum colored binding of this edition proved especially susceptible to fading, soiling, and wear; nearly all copies are considerably spine faded. Moreover, the contents are susceptible to heavy spotting and the binding is often cocked. This helps explain why so many first editions of this book have been torn apart and rebound. Finding superior copies in unrestored, original bindings is increasingly challenging. Here is one in very good plus condition. First state of the first printing is confirmed by the presence of only 11 Churchill titles listed on the half-title verso. ... moreThis binding is smooth cloth with five lines on the front cover. Note that the first edition, first printing is characterized by variations including both smooth and coarse cloth bindings, with either three or five line titles on the front cover. The plum cloth binding is square and tight, retaining sharp corners and showing only trivial hints of soiling and wear. Spine presentation is notable for the edition. The spine remains nicely rounded with bright gilt and only mild sunning. The contents remain atypically bright and clean for the edition. We find no internal spotting.
