There were two ... mores crapes to the blank finish between handle and first guide but they were covered professionally by a coat of guide epoxy finish just for aesthetics. Rod is in great functional condition. This rod was originally a factory second from St. Croix and the warranty has expired. St. Croix partially removes the label/epoxy at the base of the blank. Just above the handle to void the warranty. The amount removed varies rod to rod and is purely cosmetic. The removal process does not damage the rod at all, the blank is still structurally sound, I have used them for years. SHIPPING All rods are shipped by USPS Priority Mail. Insurance included. Combined shipping is av ailable. $2.50 per additional rod. No maxi mum. Local pick-up is available. In ter national shipping available through the eBay Glo bal Shipping Program.
