As good as new with about twelve to sixteen hours on the bank. A superb Grey's Streamflex(Original) 10' 4 with hard chrome snake guides tip and ceramic lined stripping guide. A stabilized tiger wood reel insert and an anodized aluminum up-locking reel seat. Lustrous blank in a subdued olive with bronze with gold whipping, reel seat matches with a bronze matte finish. The finish of the rod is top notch without any of the epoxy sagging and every eye is perfectly a lined. The rod weighs in at 3.31 oz about 94 grams. And has a very light action which suites close& light Nymphing the sensitively tactile tips marries into the forgiving mid section which helps if you are using light tippets for large Grayling and Trout. 10ft 6 inch 7# Greys of Alnwich Pilgrim Father
Auction is for a used 10ft 6 inch 7# Greys of Alnwick Pilgrim Father fly rod built on a Thomas and Thomas blank. Rod has one stripper eye and 10 snakes eyes. Spigot ferrules and brass reel fitting. Has lost its fly keeper eye, hence the picture of the cork above the real seat being chipped away with putting the fly there. I am afraid the varnish on the bottom section has had a bit of a bashing( please see pictures) it dose not effect the rods action just looks well used. Probably the best Sea Trout rod I have ever had, handles 4in tube flies down to small trout flies with ease. I have caught Salmon to 12lb and Sea Trout to 8lb on this rod at night and never had a problem. No rod bag or tube but will package the rod up well.

Beautiful Greys Missionary 9'3' 5 wt. rod. Is a 5 piece rod with sock and BOMB PROOF TUBE! Original owner had made the tube. As shown in the pictures, out of heavy duty PVC tubing. He also attached caps on both ends. The top cap has a screw top with heavy chord. Handle was made with the same chord! Cork handle is in very good shape. Reel seat is Ebony Rosewood. With up-locking hardware and matching Burgundy color blank. The rod is a pleasure to cast. At 2.9oz. the rod is a pleasure to cast dries or double nymph rigs. Has excellent action! Sensitivity of tip matches into a crisp mid section which makes for an excellent multiuse rod.

This is a Greys GRXI 7' 6" 2/3 weight fly rod. It's a 3 piece and includes a rod tube. I have had this rod for about 5 years and I've used it mostly as a travel rod. Seldom at that. It's in very good condition. Very fast action rod, very light and pretty good looking too! I have used it with both 2 and 3 weight lines and it casts both quite well. Very snappy. These are no longer made as far as I know and you'd be hard pressed to find materials to build a 2 or 3 wt. rod at this price. Shipping $10 inside the US.
