Up for auction is a four piece Hardy/Greys 8 weight fast action fly rod. This rod is the real deal. It is not the Greys models that get imported from Hong Kong. It is authentic Hardy materials from England. The rod is only around a year old. And it comes with the factory warranty card. The rod is 9'6" of launch pad for your flies. It would make an excellent salmon/steelhead stick. It cast very good on windy days. The rod is an 8 weight, but prefers a 9 weight floating line, or 8 weight sinker with a 500 grain shooting head. It is one of my favorite rods in my collection, but my collection has gotten out of control since I started building my own custom rods, so a few of them have to go. Fly Rod Greys XF2 Streamflex 9'0" #5 Never been fished
I bought this rod a as a backup and I have never fished the rod. I have cast it in the yard a few times and it is smooth and powerful. Other than that I have not fished it. The XF2 streamflex has a great anodized aluminium reel seat with maple burl spacers and a high quality quark. This rod feels amazing in your hand. The rod has a smooth forgiving action. Check out these pictures! Read some reviews online! The XF2 ranked high in the Yellowstone 5wt shoot out. They ranked this rod above the sage one which is 4x the price.

Selling the Greys 11ft4" Kielder Rod and the Kielder Reel Company.Keilder Fly Reel. Both made in Alnwick Northumberland. Rod and Reel are collectable. The Reel is from Kielder Reel Company wich is no longer around now. Believed to have been swallowed up by Hardy Greys. Rod was fully made up at Alnwick,not over seas like todays models. Reel is immaculate;ate with a brand new WF7 Sinking Line. I paid £25 for Line alone. It has its original Leather Case. The Rod is in 3 pieces,and comes with original clothe bag. Its condition could be better,but if I may say,the rod would benefit from a full new set of Snake Rings,or leave as it was when Greys made it some 30 plus years ago. Thank you. GREYS GRXi+ 11' #7wt Switch Fly Rod
I live in the Pacific Northwest and have used this rod to land both salmon and steelhead. I used this spey casting with large flies and to stack mends indicator fishing. The extra length is helpful when drifting over different seams river fishing. The rod needs cleaned. But it is in fine shape. You can see how the pieces were pulled apart rather than twisted. Great rod for steelhead season. Rod tube included.
