I promised the original owner I would put a fish on it, and I did (small Maine brookie). Other than that it had about three uses and was cast maybe a few dozen times. It has a downward locking reel seat. The ferule is still very tight fitting and the rod casts beautifully. I paired it with this lightweight reel and the line is also from Cortland, the 444 Classic 6wt. I’ve included a classic Orvis reel case as well.
