Vintage Fishing Hooks and Leaders
I have a bunch of packages of fishing hooks and leaders with names such as Eagle Claw. The Danielson Company, Olympic, Dura Pak, Wil-O-Wood, North American Fishing Club and one yellow plastic hook holder with approximately 35 hooks. These items are from a collection that is many years old. In my listing title I am calling items vintage: I do not know what the actual age of any of the items is. I am splitting several tack boxes up into small lots. All lots are packaged, so I cannot go back and look at certain lures. What the pictures show is all the info I have. Has very little markings of a stain or rust stain on one side of the inside. It may be scrubbed off but not sure. Age is unknown.But not that old because it has a bar code on the front. Vintage metal fishing box measuring 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" with Climax fish decal contains miscellaneous fishing items. The box is stamped HMP Co with patent number and Ham. O. Hamilton. Ohio. The patent dates to 1933. The contents are 2 wood and cork bobbers, a lure or spinner marked Pflueger 4, another marked GM Skinner( Layton, NY and A Quality Fluted Bait and the AE Hendrix( Co, New Haven Conn. We don't find any markings on the smallest piece. There is a Smith& Corona tin in the box with odd small pieces, some not fishing related and others we can't identify. Paw Paw Watta Frog Very Early Through Body Hardware VG Vintage Fishing Lure I think this is the first leg attachment that Paw Paw used on the Watta Frog. It is a metal plate through the body. With holes that the legs attach to, which is held in place with a small wood screw in the butt end. This left very little wood to support the plate and it was prone to failure when hit by a big fish. I think they tried surface hardware after this, then the plates came along. Even the surface hook hanger is an old style. This Old Frog is in Very Nice Shape with little signs of use. Even the eyes are not chipped and the leg hooks still have hair. The hooks have some rust and the hardware is tarnished. This frog is is about 2-1/2 inches long without the hooks. Thanks for Looking. 1962 Garcia Fishing Annual Catalog ABU Ambassadeur Reel Book Old Fishing Tackle
This is a lot of 3 fishing catalogs from 1962. They have fishing articles as well as new products and prices. Both Garcia books are copyright 1962. The first book with the bass getting ready to jump has a good spine. There is a piece of tape at the bottom going from front to back. Pages seem to be tight. Pages are white with no folds or creases. Order blanks are still in the back of the book. Second Garcia book has a good spine with only a 1/4" peel on both the top and bottom. Pages seem to be tight. They are yellowing and have creases from front to back on the lower right corner. Vintage fishing items - stringers, hook holder, gaff handle and hand line holder
I have 2 really nice rope stringers and the metal points and rings appears to be copper. They are in very nice shape and can be cleaned up to display great. There is also an old snelled hook holder that is made out of metal and has a bunch of hooks on one side. It is made to put snelled hooks on both sides. There is also a hand line of some sort made by Florida Fishing Tackle Mfg. Co of St. Petersburg. Florida. The final item is a wood handle for a gaff hook(I am assuming)

I am clearing some of my vintage Hardy catalogue& book collection. I will try to reduce postage if possible for multiple lots. This auction is for a 1970 Hardy Fishing Catalogue. Game, Coarse& Sea Fishing edition. It is complete with a retail price list and amendment sheet. It measures 8" x 10" and has 44 pages plus a double colour fold out showing the rods and a four page Mitchell Reel supplement. There are two sellotape marks to front and back cover plus minor marks to back cover, otherwise in excellent, bright, uncreased and unmarked condition. A collectors item and difficult to find in this condition.

Antique Leather Fly Wallet ( with interesting early history )
The wallet is made in leather( looks to be pigskin) The interior shows a double pocket compartment to both sides. The central fold has the original red braid tapes for securing additional storage pages.The tapes are in distressed condition. The exterior of the wallet is in good used order with original strap. The wallet has a tooled decoration of strapwork design. The faces of the interior compartments are distressed with missing bits of leather having been pulled out( probably through hook removal)Small amount of stitching needs work. The wallet contains a pair of wool pages with stitched edges and a vellum fold of seven pages.Also included a small quantity of flies some of these will also be antique.Three of the flies are of big game type( approx 22mm across barb to shank) and look to be unused.The wallet is without any makers mark but ... moreis of high quality. Regarding the early history. The interior of the wallet show an old ink marking" Frank Cooper.Bulwell Hall.Nottingham" and the outside of the wallet shows an embossing of capital letters A.F.T.C. These two markings relate to the same person that being" Arthur,Francis,Thomas,Cooper" Frank(Francis) Cooper was born in 1857 and was second son of Samuel Thomas Cooper who purchased Bulwell Hall in 1864. Eventually through the death of his father and elder brother(Percy) Frank Cooper acquired ownership of Bulwell Hall in approx 1877 and sold the hall in 1890. The Cooper family were very wealthy owning estates in Yorkshire and Derbyshire also a prominent London address No.7 Queens Gate.Kensington. Frank Cooper ws a well known big game hunter in victorian times and is mentioned in the publication of 1881" A Hunters Wanderings in Africa" by Frederick Courtney Selous which quotes" in the party where Frank Cooper and his brother of Bulwell Hall.Nottingham. I'll tell you right off the bat that I don't know the first thing about fishing lures. These are all wood lures. Except maybe the bottom one on the left which I'm not sure of. Some of them look to be hand-made. One of them is marked"Heddon Chugger 5900" and the rest are not marked. Model M-1. For the fisherman that has everything. What a contraption! Guaranteed to get you a face full of hooks. These are EXTREMELY powerful and if you use an old time baitcasting reel(as shown on box) you will git a backlash of biblical proportions. I cannot imagine they sold even one of these! Made only a short time in Wisconsin in the 1950s. If you manage to get it cocked without losing a few fingers. You will be afraid to pull the trigger- I know from experience! Best to just leave ... moreit alone! Of course this is what makes them such a neat collector's item. They made very few, sold even less and they are VERY dangerous! They are very well made from stainless steel. Machined aluminum, and hardwood(mahogany? Look more like a spear gun than a fishing rod. This was in the personal collection of Timothy(Tim) Mierzwa of Jackson Michigan(God rest his soul) also known as springhook. We are selling this through his estate and will have more.
