Hi. Up for grabs is a really awesome Aria Pro 2 Steinberger style bass. This is the first version Aria made, future models had no neck. This is a very rare model that you don't see too often. Very limited numbers were made. It works and looks great, has a few scuffs and some slight damage on the nut but it does not affect play. Aria Pro II SB-CB Bass Pickup & Active Electronics Assembly
T hese electronics were pulled from a Korean made Aria Pro II SB-CB bass that I purchased as a"new" floor model from Sam Ash(see attached photo documentation) When I brought the bass home. I discovered that the single pickup had the word"Peavey" stamped into the front, but looked to have been sanded down. I was surprised by this, but since I was having some problems with the varitone switch anyway, I contacted Aria's US distributor at the time, which was Dana B Goods. They were very helpful in selling me a complete replacement set of electronics for the bass for a good chunk of change, but they said that the Peavey logo on the pickup was news to them. I was pretty surprised once again when the replacement electronics arrived, and that pickup also had the Peavey logo on it. So, it's safe to assume that the MB-2E ... morepickup is a re-branded Peavey pickup. Needless to say. I have no need for a duplicate set of electronics, so my loss is your gain. This should fit just fine into an older vintage Aria SB bass, so if you've got a vintage SB bass that needs an electronics upgrade, this is your lucky day because these things are really unusual to come across on eBay. I set the price to less than what I paid for the replacement kit because I'm looking to fund another purchase. The preamp and the pickup alone would easily retail for over a hundred dollars. Make no mistakes- this is sold as is. As a pile of parts and a pickup. However, as far as I know there is enough here to complete the entire active SB-CB pickup circuit. I recall that the varitone switch that is currently wired in the circuit is in some way non-functional, but I believe that it doesn't stop and continues to turn when rotated, but I don't remember its functionality being impaired. This is in relatively good ... moreshape and out of the box you can get some amazing tones out of it. Unfortunately there are a few issues with this particular one. Cosmetically. There is some rack rash around the ears(which isn't visible in the rack) and some scratches here and there. There's a little corrosion around some of the screws though I'll try and clean this up again before I post. Some of the pots are a little crackly and one of the EQ faders is visibly damaged- but it is still usable. There is a little bit of hum when the graphic is engaged but this is probably something as simple as a dry joint. I just haven't the time to sort this out.
