Shimano Core Handles/Knobs (Core 50 MG, 100MG, 100MGFV)
You are bidding on two right handed shimano core handles. I have a Core 100MGFC and Core 50MG but upgraded their to longer handles. Each comes with stock knobs and bearings and each is 80mm long. They are magnesium and hence. Lightweight. These would be a great upgrade to a Shimano Curado, Citica, Caenan or other shimano reels. The first handle has the core 50mg septon power grips. They are smaller than the power 2 grips of the MGFV but have a big advantage in that they have 2 bearings in each knob. Ultra smooth. The second handle has the Extra Large Septom 2 knobs however they are NOT removable. Though not as smooth. They have been greased and offer big grips for big applications like flipping, pitching and swimbaits. Great knobs. As I have shown in my pictures. These do have some wear on them. They each come with the handle nut and handle ... morenut retainer which should cover these wearing scrapes. They DO NOT have the handle nuts as I have those on my current handles however whichever reel you replace the handle on, that nut should work. If not, contact shimano and they can send you a nut. These handles cost roughly 55 dollars without knobs and bearing to get straight from shimano so for this price you should be well satisfied. Shimano Core 100 Mgfv (great Condition) With HawgTech Handle
You are bidding on a used Shimano core 100 mgfv. This is the flipping version of the Core with a flippin switch. High speed and heavy brass gears. This is the perfect frog, heavy flipping and pitching reel. It was made for use in the heaviest of applications. It was recently replaced with the Core 100mg7 which retails for $400. This reel comes with a cork knobbed hawgtech carbon fiber handle which is both longer and lighter than the original handle. Also. Each knob has 2 bearings unlike the original handle knobs which weren't bearing supported. Result? Silky smooth and extra torque for pulling big fish out if the thick stuff. Shimano Metanium MG7 JDM Core and GLoomis IMX MBR 843C 7' Med-Heavy Fast
This is a Shimano Metanium MG7 with Boca Bearings. Comes with box etc along with the original bearings. Cosmetically I'd say its a 9/10. Very minimal boat rash. Mechanically this reel works awesome. You will be amazed how far you can flip or pitch with this combo. The rod is a GLoomis IMX MBR 843C. The rod is in good shape. I'd say a 8/10. Could use a little cleaning on the cork. I have used this reel many times but I do not abuse my bass fishing equipment so it is indeed in excellent condition both visually and performance wise. Installed are a set of Boca Bearing Orange Seal Ceramic Spool Bearings for extra long casting distances and smoothness. I removed the Orange Seals to take full advantage of the Boca Bearings as the Orange Seals will slow the bearings reel down. Most fisherman remove the orange seals. I bought this reel new and am cutting back on my collection. It has been serviced recently by a professional and has not seen much use. It is the 100Mg and is very strong and light. The reel works perfectly and the spool spins great. It retrieves 26 inches of line per rotation of the crank. It is a 6.2:1 ratio. There is a little boat rash along the top. This reel is used but I took really good care of it. It has a couple of very tiny scratches on the top right side of the reel that you really can't see unless you really flash a light on it and even then it is hard to see( See Photo#5) Photo 4 looks like there is smudges on the left side of the reel but that is only the lighting from the camera there are no scratches. This Shimano Scorpion Metanium MG was Japan's version of the US Chronarch 100 MG. The Scorpion model is lighter. Has upgraded parts, is better looking. I installed a nice 95mm power handle w/oversized grips that replaced the stock 70mm one, much nicer. Also just recently put new"smoothie" carbon drag washers in. Took really good care of this reel and it is in great shape. Mechanically: Handle& spool spin great. Reeling is very smooth, never had any problems with the reels functionality which is Excellent overall. Cosmetically: Minimal scuffs& scratches with one very thin cut on the thumb bar which isn't noticable by touch. Most noticable is the latch wings to get into the brake system that broke off one morning when trying to open the sideplate which I over-tightened. My fault.
