These are great rods for catfishing at night as they glow in the dark and also have battery powered LED lights inside the rod. These have a great action and work well with circle hooks. Plenty of backbone for big fish. The rods are used and have a bit of rash in the cork handles. All the guides are fine along with the real seats. Vintage 2 Piece Apache Fly Rod By Berkley 775N 8'-0" Nice!! No Reserve!!!
This is a vintage Apache fly rod by Berkley. It's in nice condition exept the male ferrel appears to be stuck inside the female ferrel and will need to be removed and reglued to the bottom half of the rod. I can't see the ferrel inside there but the rod fits together snug as it is but needs to be repaired to make sure it stays attached while casting. Otherwise no other issues. All line guides are in tact and the ties are nice and tight. See the pictures. I have many more lures as well as fishing items so be sure and check my other listings. I'll be listing more on a regular basis so look back for other nice old items. Most of the lures I will have listed will be used and will show signs of use i.e. rusty hooks. I am continuing to separate some of the rods out that I don’t use very often. From those that I do and this is one of the rods I’ve decided to pass along to another fly fisherman. It’s a 7 1/2’ 2 pc, Berkley Stream Specialist, marked as a 6 weight but casts beautifully as a 5 weight as well. Includes the original tube and rod sock. Very Good condition, only one slight mark where the reel seat ring has pressed against the reel seat insert. A fine trout rod and this model isn’t commonly seen. Please make note of the spigot ferrule which adds to the casting ability of this fine glass flyrod. I’ll supply the PVC tube. Will be packed and shipped the way it should be for an item of this value.
