Jackson was a foaming at the mouth bass fisherman and had 11 tackle boxes full of lures. 28 reels, 18 rods(including custom rods) many never opened nor used. The 10 years he fought cancer(Agent Orange) he was not able to fish. I certain hope heaven has a lot of lakes filled with fish. He would like that. 1930s Climax Fishing Box w/ Lures Bobbers & Spinners
Vintage metal fishing box measuring 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2" with Climax fish decal contains miscellaneous fishing items. The box is stamped HMP Co with patent number and Ham. O. Hamilton. Ohio. The patent dates to 1933. The contents are 2 wood and cork bobbers, a lure or spinner marked Pflueger 4, another marked GM Skinner( Layton, NY and A Quality Fluted Bait and the AE Hendrix( Co, New Haven Conn. We don't find any markings on the smallest piece. There is a Smith& Corona tin in the box with odd small pieces, some not fishing related and others we can't identify. The box has felt feet on the bottom. Light general agewear only; all in VG condition. Thank you.
