This particular reel has been used, and has been displayed and polished so the gold plating is thin in some areas, the paint on the foot shows use, and spots on the rotor show use, body and side plate are in very nice shape. Mechanically, it works perfect! I had thought about picking up the Gold DL parts on Ebay. And making this reel what it once was, but I don't have the time anymore. this is a 2 piece fiberglass rod. rod and reel are used. But ar in good condition, reel could use a good cleaning, and oiling, still works great. the pole is in great shape, little tarnishing along the eyeholes, here and there, small scratch along the pole, here and there, but this is still a solid, and strong pole, no cracks, or splits, no serious damages or issues, just typical wear, and tear. pole is 9 ft. tall. bottom cork handle is in great shape. please look at pictures best you can, what you see is what your getting. and if needed, ask questions, know what your getting into before placing your bid, i will not ship outside the country and, check out other listed items, i combine purchases for cheaper shipping. thanks. good luck, god bless, and happy bidding/shopping.

VERY RARE MINT IN BOX EARLY 50s MITCHELL 300 (EXPERIMENTAL) SPINNING REEL
up for bids is a very rare old mitchell 300.Pre garcia spinning reel. this reel laid on my shelf for yrs. i decided to clean it up and relube it. when i took it apart i found it had a nylon transfer gear in it. i did a little research and found that mitchell put a few of these gears out in the early fifties. also it did not have the reinforced axle housing.i read an artical somewhere that mitchell floated a few of the full bails on the market in 1950 to get markets response. i believe it was 1952 before they got the patent for the full bail. this reel has the slick handle knob which it and the plastic transfer gear didn,t stay around very long. after determining this was an oddball i decided to restore it. the reel hadsome numbers on the backside of the housing but when i stripped the paint the numbers went with the paint. Thus no numbers ... moreon this reel.i get my info on these old mitchells from the mitchell reel museum and from wallace carneys book. in fact the third picture is a page from wallace's book explaining the plastic transfer gear. if you collect ole mitchells you need wallace carneys book. all the parts on this reel are original except for the new screws. New chrome plating and catalyst paint. had anything plated lalely? i,m not 100 percent sure this is the original box but i looks like the one in the manual in the 7th picture. do your research and ask any questions, questions don,t cost nuttun. thanks for looking

A Mitchell 330 Otomatic(Stripped& Polished) a early high Speed fishing reel with the higher speed retrieval gears and a sprung loaded handle with plastic twist grip. The foot has a very clear 5 on the front edge of the food Stainless steel screws on the cover plate. It has been paint stripped and polished(not easy as normal paint stripper does not touch the paint used on later Mitchell reels) its not a perfect mirror polish as it is cast aluminum and can only be polished to a point. It looks great and could be used without fear of damaging any paintwork, it has been serviced and works well. The reel has a shallow cross head clutch screw spool fitted. The bailarm. Anti reverse and bail arm lock works as it should, the bail arm chrome is fairly good and bright with a few marks and light wear. A nice vintage match reel to use. This is an early box with all the papers and an extra spool. There is a small booklet or catalog showing all the old reels and still has the string attached to it. The bigger catalog says charles garcia& co. Another full page shows a large reel like a centerfold with prices etc. I should have got a pic of this. There is even a reciept from the service dept. Mitchell Model 396 and a Garcia Mitchell 410 High Speed Spinning Reel.
Lot of 2 Mitchell spinning reels. A Mitchell Model 396 and a Garcia Mitchell Model 410. They both are in good working condition and in good shape. But the 410 has quite a bit of pitting on the bail. The 396 has the number 124104 on the handle. The 410 has the number 9287216 on the handle. I have taken photos from all angles, please rely on photos for condition.

Up for your consideration we have a Garcia Mitchell 510 Rod& Reel combo. The reel is in very good condition. The handle turns very easy and is very smooth. The bail spring is strong and the bail snaps back quickly. The drag system is very good and the anti-reverse works great. Everything works as it should with this reel. The rod condition is good. The rod measures 6-1/2 feet long and is made for this reel. The action on this rod is probably Med. action. There are no markings on the rod. The rod is a garcia. On the end of the handle is a red letter"g" for garcia. If you are into collecting then this will make a great addition to your collection. This came from an estate and is being sold as is. mitchell pro Nautil 6500 waterproof fishing reel spinning
A used Mitchell 6500. A couple things to note- it has some pitting on handle and on the bail(minor. See pic) Its in working order, tho a very slight clicking on the retrieve when the spool reaches the bottom. It's not from the spool because it does it without the spool. This model Mitchell may do it but doesn't affect performance and did it when I purchased it many years ago. You also need to put a little force on the retrieve to engage the bail. Maybe adjustable but still nothing major. Drag seems to be fully functional. I honestly never used this reel much. I mainly use casting reels. Comes with bag and 2 different size spools which were never used. Still a very nice reel. Ships to lower 48 only. Thanks for looking. Posted with

I have inspected all internal parts, cleaned, oiled, and greased this 400 reel. Fully serviced, completely broken down) all original parts. The reel is mechanically sound and performs flawlessly, very smooth action! The pictures will show that this 400 reel has some paint wear and minimal scratches/nicks.
