Vintage MITCHELL Deep Sea Lever Drag Trolling Fishing Reel No. 1080
For sale here is a vintage MITCHELL d eep sea. Lever drag, trolling reel No. 1080 from my personal collection. Spool width is 2 1/4 inches and plate diameter is 4 1/2 inches. Retrieve rate is 4:1. It weighs 4 lbs. 4 oz. and is extremely rugged and very well made. Every feature works on it and all parts are intact. The only downside, other than boat rash, is the little identification plate on the left side that is wanting to come off. I've never fished with this reel nor have I touched that ID plate. This reel is about the size of a PENN 50. It strikes me as being very scarce.I've never seen one on eBay. As one of the photos attests. The serial number is 21891 and it was made in France. Vintage Garcia Mitchell 624 Conventional Saltwater Fishing Reel w Matching Box
You are bidding on a vintage Garcia Mitchell conventional reel with rod clamp. Serial number matching box and manual. This reel is in good cosmetic and excellent mechanical condition. The handle cranks smoothly and the drag, clicker and free spool work perfectly. There is some light pitting to the chrome trim and spool as seen in the pictures. There is a small crack on the handle-side sideplate as seen in the last picture. It does not affect the functionality of the reel. The manual is in excellent condition and the box is in fair condition. The top of the box is missing the black cardboard piece that goes on top. I believe the design of the box requires that the top of the packaging be torn off to open the box when new. I will always combine shipping for multiple purchases.
