Magnumlite aluminum ... morespool with original graphite v-spool adapter. Use the adapter for light presentations to prevent backlash or remove it for more line capacity. The original graphics on this reel are in good shape except for the top cover which has faded over the years from palming this reel. Shimano designed these reels with the pro tourney bass fisherman in mind-they were the best of the best. Original bearings have been replaced and lubed with red rocket oil. The pics show how bright all the original markings are-and shows the top cover wear. You can still read what was on the top cover just the color is gone. The snap in v-spool is a rare item in itself. The v-spool shape helps prevent backlash by controlling spool speed. This is the 2000SG super gears reel with the FIGHTN' DRAG switch. This switch LOCKS your drag solid to allow for a brutal hook set or dragging a big fish out of cover on the strike. Then flip the lever to use the preset drag to fight the fish. I have had a bunch of these over the years, and the FIGHTN' DRAG is great. Ive launched Bass clear out of the water setting the hook with the drag locked. Anti reverse switch works. No flippin' switch. This reel is in killer shape for its age. I have a bunch of old school Shimano reels for sale. Some I would consider collectible- like this one-but all are ready to fish. I dont Bass fish much anymore so these reels can go to someone that collects or uses them.

This is a restored Shimano Bantam Mag 10SG which is based on. standard black frame, aluminum setplate, not black) It comes from my"Reel Rescue" program which can be found on my website www.timelessshimano.net. Most reels turn out close to/almost new and function as such. All reels that have had their bronze bushings removed are fitted with either ABEC 5's or 7's(VXB ceramic hybrid or SS equivalent) All work performed on my reels is described on my site in detail including many pics. All my reels receive the same treatment except when noted. I do not take pictures of every single one as I do as many as 5 reels per week. Since all the restoration is the same. One or two pictures should give you a better understanding, but there are plenty to ... morelook at. Fishing Up for consideration is a Shimano Bantam 251X SG Mag Plus baitcasting reel made in Japan. These excellent reels were produced from 1983 to 1985. This is an excellent example of this great reel. Mechanically. The reel functions flawlessly with all operations checked. Cosmetically, the reel is in outstanding condition with nice black color to the finish and bright vivid graphics. The reel appears to have seen little to no use so there are minimal flaws. The left metal side cover has no discernable flaws. The right sid cover has a small spot on the top of the right side cover and some light oxidation. All plated components are bright and shiney. All flaws identified are minor so this reel is very suitable for fishing or adding to a vintage tackle collection. Scratches, boat rash, etc. What you see in the pictures is what you get. The 100d is pretty clean but has a little corrosion on the reel foot& to the left of the line release button. I took a close picture of it but I don't know if you can see it or not.

Up for bid is a Super Nice Shimano Combo that is in good used working condition. The reel is a Bantam 100 EX that comes in its orginal Box with Correct Paper Work. Wrench, Parts Tube, Oil. The reel is in very nice condition with only a few light scratches and one rub to the non handle side cover. The Box is very nice, The rod is Graphite GR-01553 5'6" Line 10 to 20 lb. Lure Rating 1/2 to 1 1/4 oz. Heavy Action. The handle says Designed For Professionals. The Rod is in near Mint condition with only a couple of light scratches from use.
