This auction is for a vintage Shimano Bantam 100 bait caster reel with the original rosewood handles. Its made in Japan. This reel is in excellent condition. It does have a few very minor scuffs on the left side plate but otherwise its perfect, everything works great, it reels very smooth and is very clean. As you can see in the photos it is near mint. Was used as a back-up reel. don't beleive it was ever used at all) These are just good dependable reels in expensive reels. Reasonable starting price. No reserves. Item is in good working conditrion. This is a very nice shimano curado 100D. It is lightly used but is in excellent shape! These reels are hard to find THE CURADO 300DSV WAS THE BEST REEL SHIMANO MADE BECAUSE IT HAD HD OVERSIZED GEARS IN THEM BUT FOR SOME REASON SHIMANO WAS GOING TO DISCONTINUE THE LINE. AND THAT THE NEW CURADOS' AREN'T EVEN CLOSE IN QUALITY AND RUGGEDNESS. IF YOU'RE AN ANGLER YOU ALREADY KNOW ABOUT THIS FINE REEL SO DON'T WAIT TOO LONG OR YOU'LL MISS OUT. Right handed.
