Magnumlite aluminum ... morespool with original graphite v-spool adapter. Use the adapter for light presentations to prevent backlash or remove it for more line capacity. The original graphics on this reel are in good shape except for the top cover which has faded over the years from palming this reel. Shimano designed these reels with the pro tourney bass fisherman in mind-they were the best of the best. Original bearings have been replaced and lubed with red rocket oil. The pics show how bright all the original markings are-and shows the top cover wear. You can still read what was on the top cover just the color is gone. The snap in v-spool is a rare item in itself. The v-spool shape helps prevent backlash by controlling spool speed. This is the 2000SG super gears reel with the FIGHTN' DRAG switch. This switch LOCKS your drag solid to allow for a brutal hook set or dragging a big fish out of cover on the strike. Then flip the lever to use the preset drag to fight the fish. I have had a bunch of these over the years, and the FIGHTN' DRAG is great. Ive launched Bass clear out of the water setting the hook with the drag locked. Anti reverse switch works. No flippin' switch. This reel is in killer shape for its age. I have a bunch of old school Shimano reels for sale. Some I would consider collectible- like this one-but all are ready to fish. I dont Bass fish much anymore so these reels can go to someone that collects or uses them.

Stunning Vintage Shimano Bantam 100 EX in Box Excellent Used Condition
Excellent condition Vintage Shimano 100EX with original box and spare parts tube with parts. Reel is in Excellent condition with just some light scratches on the top. The finish is clean and shiny. Mechanically the reel operates very smoothly. This reel is in"as found" condition which leads me to believe it was maybe only used once of twice to be in this clean of condition. Box is in nice shape with just some normal shelf wear but no stains or splits. This is the most difficult of the vintage Shimano Bantams to find and this one is in really nice shape. A nice addition to any collection. Please refer to pics for actual condition. Please email any questions and thanks for looking.

Shimano Bantam 200 Fresh Restoration Timeless Shimano
Hi again all. Up for sale today is a very nice Shimano Bantam 200 freshly restored and upgraded. It now features VXB hybrid ceramics and carbon fibre drag washers. All flat surfaces including washers have been lapped and polished after a thorough ultrasonic cleaning. The mechanics have no play and all tolerances are tight. The reel has been used but most of the usage signs are cosmetic. It functions as new or better and one could collect or fish it. Would make a great steelhead reel. This one has been lubricated and is smooth as silk. Ceramic bearings on the spool shaft provide uncompromised casting performance. A little rough on the outside but nice and new on the inside. The only cosmetic concerns include a rub on the top of the left side cover and a few minor scratches on the right side cover. REAL nice vintage Shimano Bantam MAG-10 SG super gears.This reel is in great cosmetic condition for its age with 90+ percent of its original graphics intact- the numbers are missing around the magent contol dial. It looks like it was a decal that went a long time ago.All systems properly working.Free spool with disengaging levelwind. Precision balanced lighweight aluminum spool- spool is new I replaced it because the original had a home-made"V" spool concoction made of tape.Thi reel was super high tech at the time made of lightweight space age components and This was the flagship model-possibly the first magnetic controlled Shimano? It is the oldest body style Shimano bass caster with mag control. As high tech as this was there were NO ball bearings in this reel.The three bushings were replaced with new precision bearings(2 ceramic ... morehybrid and one stainless) and lubed with red rocket oil. Reel is now smooth and fast and everything works. Its not missing anything and is ready to fish. I changed the drag star to a silver one for looks and added some drag to the reel to even up with new superline technologies. This is the way they would have been built back then if practical. But ceramic bearings in a reel back then were super rare if at all. The difference in how this reel feels with the new bearings is unreal. Real nice vintage nade in Japan Shimano CORIOLIS baitcasting reel. Older reel but was way ahead of its time for sure. Reel is constructed with precision machined aluminum. Graphite and titanium components for light weight, durability and extreme strength. This reel is in perfect mechanical shape and has minor cosmetic wear from minimal use but not abused. This reel is SMOOTH AS SILK- I owned them when they were new many tears ago. And the minor upgrades on this one make a huge difference. standard features-lightweight graphite one piece frame with quick take down prescision magnetic cast control-I have tested the magnets braking action and they are working great precision lightweight machined aluminum spool on/off anti reverse"fish saver" switch for better control of big fish near the boat. flippin' switch- allows spool to re-engage ... morewhen the freespool button is released Disengaging levelwind- allows for less resistance and longer casting. I went through this reel and tested all its function to make sure it is working%100 before selling it. Cosmetically the reel is in great shape. Mechanically its in exellent shape I love to surf fish and tune reels for distance casting. While I was looking at this reel I realized this was a top of the line reel BUT it can be a whole lot better- I replaced a plastic bushing a precision ball bearing and lubed all the bearings with red rocket fuel. Brass bushings and plastic have no place in a reel like this-This old girl now has 2 precision ball bearings supporting the spool and main shaft. It reels super smooth.That said line capacity looks like 120yds 12lb mono or something in that range. Typical Bass reel. I have tons of tackle and need to move some of this stuff out. Real nice Shimano Bantam Magnumlite PLUS bass casting reel. This awesome old reel was a trend setter. Graphite and titanium construction. Magnumlite aluminum spool with original graphite v-spool adapter. Use the adapter for light presentations to prevent backlash or remove it for more line capacity. The original graphics on this reel are in good shape except for the top cover which has faded over the years from palming this reel. Shimano designed these reels with the pro tourney bass fisherman in mind-they were the best of the best. Original bearings have been replaced and lubed with red rocket oil. The pics show how bright all the original markings are-and shows the top cover wear. You can still read what was on the top cover just the color is gone. The snap in v-spool is a rare item in itself. The v-spool shape helps prevent backlash by ... morecontrolling spool speed. This is the 2000SG super gears reel with the FIGHTN' DRAG switch. This switch LOCKS your drag solid to allow for a brutal hook set or dragging a big fish out of cover on the strike. Then flip the lever to use the preset drag to fight the fish. I have had a bunch of these over the years, and the FIGHTN' DRAG is great. Ive launched Bass clear out of the water setting the hook with the drag locked. Anti reverse switch works. No flippin' switch. This reel is in killer shape for its age. I have a bunch of old school Shimano reels for sale. Some I would consider collectible- like this one-but all are ready to fish. I dont Bass fish much anymore so these reels can go to someone that collects or uses them.

Up for auction is a vintage SHIMANO BANTAM Bass ONE MAG BI-RM and Fenwick Eagle GLC Trigger stik FISHING Rod. It measures in at 5 feet 11 inches(so it must have been modified or repaired at sometime) its is suppose to be at 6' medium Action. Takes 3/4 to 1 oz lures, using between 10 to 20 pound test line. This spinning rod is still in great shape and does not show the repair or modification. There are a few scuff/scratch marks on the reel, but nothing major. These reels were avialable in 1981 and introduced as the new Tournnament Bass Reel. These reels are similar to the Bantam 100 but have teh cast Accurized aluminum frame that helps to reduce weight. This particular reel is in excellent condition and functions flawlessly with all operations checked. Cosmetically the reel is in excellent condition with vivid gold graphics on silver annodized side covers. The only cosmetic concerns include a small rub on the lower front edge of the right side cover. A couple of very small rubs at the top edge of the left inner frame and very minor scratches as seen in the photos. Shimano Bantam Chronarch 100 bait casting reel. 6.2:1 gear ratio, six bearings,superstopper gears, silver pearl color, super smooth, good condition cosmetically and operationally. This is another reel that stayed in the modular rod locker of my bass boat that I kept in the garage between fishing trips. You can see a some boat rash here or there which mostly came from laying on the front deck of the boat with my other rods and reels while on the water. Only used in freshwater, no salt water use. I also kept a reel cover on it while stored in the rod locker. I bought this reel several years ago before I quit fishing local bass tournaments so it saw some use but not much. Shimano Bantam 50- Reduced Price
This is the same reel that did not sell at $105. I took the Power Pro line off so the spool is visible. Took new photographs and I am listing at a lower fixed price, and will consider offers. I will still include the 200 yards+ of new 50# Power Pro(which retails for $15-20) on a separate spool if the buyer wants it. The reel was professionally lubricated in late 2012 and has not been used since. All functions work as they should and cosmetically it is in very good condition. The original Owner's Manual is included. There is some scratching on the case that is consistent with use. There are no dents, cracks or chips. The reel has a friction cast control that works very well, but the reel has primarily been used for salmon trolling in fresh water only. It is missing the circular decal on the left side as you can see in the photograph. I ... morebelieve it has an excellent drag system, strong and smooth. I purchased the reel new. This is a very popular reel, and is becoming a collector reel. The local dealer tells me that Shimano has no plans to reissue this reel. Other used Bantam 50s, which had the decal and may have been in better condition cosmetically(but with one exception, did not look any better than mine) recently sold for $100-$120 on Ebay. On the West Coast, this was(I am not sure about now) a favorite of charter boat operators due, I assume, to the Bantam 50's durability and ease of use.

Up for auction is a Japanese made Shimano Bantam Mag Plus 251 XSG Lt Hand retrieve bait casting reel. This was primarily used as a trolling reel for Kokanee Salmon but has a wide range of uses. As you can see it is in excellent condition aside from some minimal lettering wear which is normal given the age of the reel. Very smooth works great

For sale is a nice used Shimano Bantam Black Magnum 100 GT Baitcasting fishing reel. I have tried to represent this reel as best as I can with close up photos. The reel functions perfectly and is a pleasure to fish with. The only issue is the front cover. Which retracts, please see photos, the shiny enamel or lacquer that they used is crackling, but does not affect the operation. Also, some of the decals are fading.
