this is a 2 piece fiberglass rod. rod and reel are used. This is a sweet old rod. Has all its original ceramic eyelets, the first eyelet is on a spring hinge so it can fold down flat against the rod for when you are traveling, I have never seen one like this befor and am surprised they are not more common. rod is 8ft long only real defect is that the rod where two peaces come together has a few small splits because the binding has come away from the end. Would be easy to rebind or have a sleeve put over. all in all grate rod for a collector or to be used for what it is made for. pick up from nambour welcome. freight is through grayhound and is pick up from their nearest depo. All Star PT and Shimano baitcasting rod - Lot of 2 - 6' MH - Excellent condition
Up for auction are two(2) 6' medium heavy baitcasting rods. One is an All Star PT series PT60MH. The other is a Shimano Jimmy Houston Signature series 6' medium heavy. The All-Star has fast tip, the Jimmy Houston has extra-fast tip. Both are in excellent condition: all original tips, guides, seats, etc. There are no scratches or gouges on blanks( nothing to hide here) Corks are slightly discolored from rack. The metal ring around the EVA grip of All-Star is discolored slightly. These are the only discrepancies on these rods. They are in excellent shape and ready to fish. The reel is a Shimano Spirex 500FA rated 2-190. 4-100, 6-60(lb-yards) and comes with an extra spool. It is reversible(left/right handed) and was manufactured in Malaysia. It functions smoothly and is in excellent condition. The rod is a 6-piece 6'6" graphite rid manufactured in China. It breaks down to 6 pieces that fit into a soft carrying case that is 16.5" long by 3.5" wide and 1.5" high. The carrying case has straps to secure it to your backpack. I just have too much if that is possible; really just selling what I don't use any more or haven't used in a few years. Check my other listings for more fishing gear. I only used this rod a couple times fishing from the jetty for rockfish and from the beach for surf perch. Graphite being lightweight made it nice for a full day of casting jigs.
