Offering for sale a used Shimano Stradic 2000FG spinning reel with spare spool. Washer pack, original box and all paper work including unused warranty registration card. This reel was used for a couple of seasons only for smallmouth bass. Probably only about a couple of dozen times. Reel is in very good condition with minor wear on the reel foot where it attached to the rod and a couple of very small nicks from use. The spare spool had line put on and if I recall it was never used. Washer pack remains unopened. Reel has not been used in about 6 or 7 years. I spin fish very rarely, fly fish almost exclusively, and I have a vintage Cardinal 4 that I am keeping to use when spinning so this reel definitely needs a good home and needs to be used. Vintage Uslan Spinning Reel model 500 in Box, paperwork complete. Oddball
Up for bid is a Uslan 500 spinning reel. Made in in USA by Uslan Incorporated Spring Valley NY. Produced in 1955. The reel alone is a tough find without the box. This reel includes the box and instruction booklet that came with the reel. Also what I believe is the original hang tag is included with instructions on how to assemble the winding arm and how to remove spool. The box is in nice condition but does have some water stains mainly to the bottom half. Other than than that it is in good condition. Hang tag is excellent and instruction booklet is nice as well. The bail on this reel is unlike any other I've seen. A very neat design. It has a futuristic look. A button on top lets you move the bail into the casting position. The drag is black and located directly under the spool as seen. Everything works as it should. Paint on the reel ... morebody is very nice with only a few very light scratches from normal use. Excellent Cardinal #3 ultralight spinning reel
I've taken this Cardinal down to it's smallest part and cleaned. Relubed/oiled it. It is now as smooth as the day it ws made. The bail spring is strong, the drag has it's full range, and the click/anti-reverse is fully operational. This is my personal favorite model for light fishing, and is legendary among light line fishermen. The serial number is 760400, and, of course, it is a procuct of Sweden. The rash is slight on the rotating cup but a little more noticeable on the stem. This one needs to be used. Priority mail which now includes tracking. Flate rate of $8.00 s/h. Other than some oiling and adjusting. It is in great condition for its age. The gears are good, drag works well. I was able to spool about 170yrds of 10lb mono on the spool.
