Vintage Shakespeare 2081A DA spin reel This large spin reel was made in USA. in 1970 and wieghs almost 20oz. It is in excellent condition and everything works perfectly. It comes with a dark red colored metal body, good strong bail, smooth drag, good anti-reverse, rolling roller and smooth as butter quiet gears. It shows wear in the paint in all the regular spots& edges. It has a 3.2/1 gear ratio and will hold 330 yds. of 12 lb.test it is a very good quality reel, and is a grade 8/9+. This is a great reel to fish with, I have been fishing with these reels for almost 50 years and caught thousands of fish on them. Few reels have rollers that roll as well& consistantly( teflon sleeves work as well if not better than bearings) The oil soaked leather drag washers were the best at the time.
