The rod shows use and wear and pieces of the decal are missing. The Chrome parts on the handle and the line guides show light surface tarnishing. A fine detailed cleaning will remove the tarnishing and it will only improve the overall appearance of the rod. In pictures 8 and 9 you will see that the largest line guide has been bent and at some time it was bent back to the original shape. It is not cracked or broken. I purchased this rod new in 2013 as I was getting into shad fishing. After hooking my first one. I became acutely aware that a light power rod and 4# test line was insufficient for a 3 1/2 pound white shad in a strong current. I love the rod, it just doesn't have the power I need. If you're into panfish or freshwater trout, it would be perfect. The rod is like new save for"Feb 2013" that I wrote on the cork under the reel seat-see picture. I bought this rod here on ebay last year and only was able to use it on one or two trips. Rod is strong sensitive and lightweight. I had it paired with a Stradic 5000 and it was perfect for slot reds. Pomps whiting even a large stingray. This rod was one that was made from an unbroken top and unbroken bottom from 2 different rods. I included pics of all the guides and a small knick in the cork above the reel seat.
