The condition of this is pretty good overall showing some soiling, wear and rusting. You should be able to see this in the photos. RARE! This is a plastic lure. Possibly Bakelite? I was told it was made in Oklahoma, but can NOT verify that. Basically. I know NOTHING about this lure, but it is neat and I have never seen another one. It is 4-1/4" long. The words'Pat Pend' are marked on it. The hooks are a unique style. But do have rust. There are definite scuff marks and looks like some worm burn. I have NOT cleaned this lure, as I fear damaging it. It is brown. And has a swirl/ marble type color pattern. Printed on the underside of the top inside are two lines; Price's Pat. April 10. 1883" and"Pat. Reissued May 19. 1885. Maybe it is made by"Price" The box is green. With pin striping, with some signs of wear. It is being sold, just as it was found, with antique fishing lures and other equipment inside. Some of the contents may not be as old. But all of the contents are old. There are some church envelopes inside. Which are dated 1915, containing metal fish hooks. These hooks are inside a metal tin box.
