Lure Fishing Rod, Owned and used by Matt Hayes, Rare!
This fishing rod is a six-foot jerkbait rod. Owned and fished with extensively by tv angler Matt Hayes. It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity confirming that it was Matt's rod. Says Matt: This rod is quite special. In the first place, i have caught plenty of twenty pound plus pike on it. Secondly, it is one of the original first batch of TFG rods designed by myself and Simeon Bond. All of the early TFG rods were designed and hand-picked by myself and Simeon and they were by far the best, in my opinion. this rod is a jerkbait rod, still with its original bag. I have not cleaned it- it bears the mud and battle scars gained over several years of fishing with it form Sweden to lake Windermere. The bag and the certificate are signed by Matt to confirm its authenticity.

The butt section measures 62 1/4 inches(158cm) and the tip section 61 inches(155cm) The tip and butt guides are lined in a reddish amber material while the 6 intermediate guides are hard chrome. All the guides are in perfect condition. No corrosion or cracks in the liners. The rod will come complete with its original bag which is in all honesty in quite poor condition with a few holes in it. I have very little experience of cane rods as you have probably guessed! So apologies if the description is a little vague. I bought ... moreit about a year ago and have never used it. Century 12 2 3/4 NG Custom Built Carp Rods
Here are my 3 Century NG 12 2 3/4 Custom Built Carp Rods by me(Century Employee) I have decided to sell up as I am no longer enjoying it. as you can see from the photos these are a custom build. They have a FMA type handle which is Jap Shrink Handle with a secondary piece at the base of the butt underneath to create a step. The rods have an SS20 reel seat which is stainless steel hence(SS) which is an upgrade from the SB20 which is standard. As you can see from photos 7,8 and 9, my name is etched on to the reel seat, this is for illustration only and can be removed and re etched with the original century logo or depending on length of name or phrase wanted something else, please enquire after purchase. From the same 3 photos you will see that the 1/2" tying's are tipped red white(silver) and blue metallic, this was to coincide with ... morethe delkim colours, so would probably suit someone with the same colour alarms if like me you are a tackle tart. Moving up the blank you may notice the butt ring is a 50mmwhich is also an upgrade from the standard 40mm these rods should have, for that reason obviously the tip ring increases from a size12 to a size16. you can also see from the base of the tips that they are also tipped above the 1/2" in the same metallic colours. As a century employee I can guarantee that these rods will be sent in brand new condition even though they are used. They will be cleaned down and re siliconed as well as a new etch on the reelseat, please note that because of the custom built handle these rods don't have the century ng print as this goes under the handle. this can be applied but not advised as now it would have to go above the handle about 6" up personally speaking looking stupid. However, please again enquire about that. These are a one off set of rods that will never be made again so get them now. These would cost you over £350 each if you were to have them built that that specification from century direct. Please enquire for postage as for UK it will not be £
