A Very Old Tlingit Cod or Halibut Fishing Hook ~ Possibly 19th Century This is a nice example of a native fishing hook made by the people of the Tlingit Tribe or perhaps another Northwest Coast tribe. And dates to around the turn of the last century. It is made of wood and I believe has an old nail for the barb. This is a rare and interesting ethnographic piece for a serious collector of such rare historic items. This piece was shown at the Snow Goose Gallery in Seattle, WA and it comes in it's own Riker Mount case. 5 Day/5 Night ALASKA FISHING TRIP - Halibut, Salmon, & Lingcod
You're bidding on a chartered fishing trip in Southeast Alaska for 2015(Gustavus. AK) Valid dates for booking this trip are June 1 thru August 31. 2015. Trip includes: Lodging at Eagle's Nest Lodge for 5 nights-3 meals/day-Transportation to and from the airport and the dock-Up to 100 lbs/person processed fish(vacuum packed. Frozen, and boxed for easy airline transport) Chartered fishing for 5 days with Taylor Charters Not Included: Airfare-Alcohol-Gratuities-Licenses($75/person) About Taylor Charters: We have experienced captains and excellent boats. Our boats are all 28' aluminum boats with twin motors on them. We run mostly G Loomis fishing rods for halibut and salmon; Shimano butterfly rods for jig fishing for lingcod and rockfish. We run single speed reels for salmon and 2-speed reels for halibut to make it easier when fighting ... morelarger fish. We do most of our halibut fishing within 30 minutes of the Gustavus dock and have the 2nd highest average size in the state of Alaska. As far as limits are concerned. We have our limits set shortly before the season. Our normal rate is $3.500/person, but we do offer a 10% discount when booking a group of 5 or 10. We fish 4-6 guests per boat. If you win this auction. You can bring others at the same price as your winning bid when booked and paid within 48 hours of auction end.
