The handle and sheath both have a burn mark with RN scratched in. The handle has some very minor varnish loss. The sheath has a device inside that helps sharpen the blade when inserted and withdrawn. Vintage Sharp DF-60 11 Inch Fishing Fillet Knife W/ Leather Holster Belt Sheath: This is a beautiful vintage fishing filet knife. The craftsmanship is superb and blade is still very sharp with with almost no signs of use. The handle portion is 4.5 inches in Length& is made of wood which has been stained cherry color. The color has still maintained with very well with little to no fading. The wood can easily be touched up with Old English wood cleaner to bring the full color back but I prefer it just as is. The actual stainless steel blade measures 6 inches in length and is laser etched with the wording. Custom Crafted Sharp DF 60. The leather sheath is in very good condition for its age. I found this knife in the garage on my father's worktable. I have no idea why he had it. As he never went camping or fishing in his life, at least not while I was around. Anyway, it's a stainless steel knife made by Mitsuboshi for Haverhill's. The blade is 7 1/2" long and 1" wide; the hilt is 4" long. The sheath is apparently made of leather. The metal piece that separates the blade from the hilt is a touch loose and rattles a bit. The knife shows just a little use and definitely needs cleaning and sharpening. This knife is used, but it has been well maintained. The wooden handle is in great shape with no chips or cracks. The hollow ground blade is straight. But it does show signs of sharpening. The knife slides easily into the sheath. The sheath is in good shape with no significant staining or water damage. There is a cut in the sheath where the knife was pushed through.
