But think this may have been a marriage somewhere along the way. This is not in great shape, but for the young collector, it might be perfect. It still has the nylon line on it but I have no idea if it works. When put together, it measures about 102" long. I've taken lots of pictures since I'm not a fisherman and know nothing about this. Vintage Martin Mohawk Automatic Self Winding Fly Fishing Reel Model 48A
Up for sale is a vintage Martin Mohawk automatic self winding fly fishing reel I purchased at an estate sale. It appears to be in fair working condition. With minor surface rust, wear in paint, scratches, and is missing an emblem. Also, the original owner's name is scratched into the face. It is working, but stiffly, I would highly recommend a good oiling and cleaning to bring it back to it's full working potential. I purchased a large lot of vintage and antique fishing lures and reels from an estate sale. The reels are all in fair to good working condition. They all could use a cleaning and oiling, and some have minor wear and tear and slight corrosion or rust. Due to the fact that these are not my personal collection of reels, I will say that some of the reels may potentially have been repaired in the past or have some not original ... moreparts. Some are in better condition than others. Any obvious damage will be highlighted in the pictures. I am not an expert, just an avid estate sale hunter, but I do try to be as honest as I can in my listings with my pictures and my descriptions. Please see all pictures for condition issues.
