It has some damage on the one side but does not effect the operation. It also has a line leveler. There is 1 Shakespeare Durango. It is in good condition and spins and turns freely. It has a reversible handle. The other Shakespeare is a Model 32 Criterion dated 1960. It has a line leveler and silencer. The other reel pictured has no names or markings. It works very hard. Up for auction is the great South Bend model 59-9 bamboo fly rod with the base. Center and two top sections/tips. The rods are all in very good condition with no problems to the guides, tips or wraps. It appears that it has not been used or barely used and put away years ago. The cork section looks almost new, and appears to have no missing chunks. It still has the original foil label and looks good. Everything appears to be original with no repairs. One Antique Salmon or Trout or Ocean Pflueger Reel. Is Marked on the Reel and it was Made in Akron Ohio. and a True Temper Trolling Rod. This is a vintatage fly reel in excellent condition.I received it used 20+ years ago and never used it.It comes with the box.Parts list,dressed floating line which is tapered, and the pamplet which describes the line,but does not give the size or weight.I did find a few pitted spots on the rear pillars(the round crome dowels holding the frame together) and rubbed them off with emery cloth.The reel is described as a heavy duty model designed for salmon, steelhead,bonefish,tarpon,ect.Large line capacity.Reinforced spool and back plate,large adjustable drag for extra braking capacity.Duel clicks,adjusable weight,and stainless steel line guard. The 1498 has1' pillars,a 4" PLATE. Vintage Hardy Bros. fly reel "Perfect" model
Vintage used Hardy Bros. Ltd fly reel. This reel was made in Alnwick England and is Hardy Bros. Ltd 3 1/8" The'Perfect' flyreel. Patent numbers stamped on the side read: 24245&9261. It also has stamped Duplicated Mark II. The zippered padded case it comes with was made by H J Collins Mfg. Co. As near as we can tell this reel is right hand retrieve. Research found extra reels available. This reel comes apart by holding the inner reel while turning the handle counter clock wise. Once you take the reel apart you can see the small ball bearings in the center that give this such a smooth reeling motion. We also ran a small test on the crossbars to make sure they weren't nicked or worn and would cut away at your line. By running yarn across both sides of each crossbar we were able to determine there appear to be no burs on ... morewhich to cut your fly line. Up for auction is this gently used. Vintage 1960's Martin 65 single-action fly reel on an 8 ½-foot South Bend Black Beauty fly rod. The reel is Made in USA(Mohawk. NY) in very good condition. No signs of rust or corrosion anywhere. Just needs a little cleaning. I do see a couple of very light scratches on the black side of the reel but hardly noticeable. The fly rod is also in very good condition. I don't see a mark on it. Eyes are pristine. It's a“South Bend Black Beauty. 3685, medium action, graphite composite, 6/7 line weight. It does have a small yellow fly on the end of the line which I haven't bothered to remove. The Martin single-action fly reel is precision manufactured in the U.S.A. to give you years of trouble-free service. Frames are made of reinforced aluminum with extra strength. Machined hubs. This is a vintage Pflu eger fly reel with a black handle, marked: Pflueger Trade Mark Sal-Trout Made in U. S.A. No. 1554 The reel is 3 5/8" i n diameter. In good condition. There is some wear on the edges(please s ee photo s) due to normal age and use. It works well, with smooth action. This vintage Pflueger"Sal-Trout" fly reel would be a nice addition to any collection of American-made reels.

VINTAGE UNKNOWN UNMARKED FLY FISHING REEL
Vintage unknown. Unmarked fly fishing reel. The frame appears to be aluminum, and one of the plates could be brass, the other plate looks and feels like bakelite. Not sure though. No markings as to brand or place of manufacture. Reel shows overall wear, particularly to the rims. There are some corrosion patches also, and the handle knob looks like it's undergone some shrinkage and does not turn easily on the post. Reel still has old line on it. Crank is noisy and somewhat rough. Measures approx. 2 7/8" in diameter and about 1 1/4" wide. Feel free to email us with questions. Thanks for looking
