3236- Cod Line& Jigger; vintage Cod line and Jigger; line is on a traditional reel/ frame; jigger has only one hook; a second hook seems to have been cut off so someone was probably intending to put it to use in the modern"food fishery" where only a single hook jigger is permitted; reel/ frame overall is about 13.1" x 8.2" the jigger is about 7.3" long pictured with a cork over the hook tip for safety; note a some point a metal rod was added through the center and extending about 5" out one side; a piece of copper pipe is over this extension and freely moves around it; holding the copper pipe rather than the wood reel itself should allow the jigger and line to unspool much more quickly; note also the piece of reddish rubber attached to the base of the hook to help attract fish; As per ou r internal policy ... moreif we significantly over estimate packaging and shipping related cha rges as discussed further below a refund will be issued to customer's PayPal account u sed to pay for item. This is a very high quality coiled safety line manufactured by the legendary Murray Products in Palm Beach. Fl. The vinal coated line is ten(10) feet long and has a stainless steel 3/16" snap on each end. These are used to save your expensive rod and reel from going over the side of the boat, lost forever in the depths of the Ocean. I was fishing with a very good friend many years ago. We were catching lots of schooling Dolphin(Maui Maui) when a large Blue Marlin appeared in the school. My friend got excited and dropped the rod he was using on the deck to grab a heaver rod/reel when the Marlin ate ... morethe Dolphin on his rod(the one he dropped on the deck! Needless to say I watched my favorite custom rod and reel going across the surface of the ocean in 900 feet of water and learned a valuable lesson about safety lines as well as don't let other people use your best tackle. 3 Mitchell Fresh Water Fishing Line Spools
These are three spools of fresh water fishing line from Mitchell. There is one spool of Platyl. One of Bonnyl and one that I think is also Platyl but I just can't be sure. I can read the test date on the Bonnyl and it is 6-69. There are two cases, one of which has a chipped cover and rim. They are very old so I can't guarantee the integrity of the line.
