I have totally reconditioned each knife- they are cleaned and sharpened- ready to use. Cimeters are long(9" to 10" Slightly curved, wide, stiff working knives- NOT, a flexible, narrow filet knife! I have many offshore and charter boats using this knife- cleaning fish, and cutting bait/chum. Also, many hunters and butchers, meat processors use this type of knife. Being quality commercial knives. The edge retention is very good; and, the knives are easy to resharpen. This is a long lasting knife; sharpen it by hand, and it should last for many years! 27" HEAVIEST MARLIN FISHING TROPHY 1984...Huge! ..VINTAGE Metal Brass Trophy
Up for auction is this extremely large fishing trophy. It measures about 27 inches high. Total. The bottom part is a square wood base, about 6 1/2 inches square and 4 inches high. The trophy is for the 2nd Annual Manufactures Marlin Round-Up, Heaviest Marlin, August 9-12, 1984. I tried to google the tournament, but I could find no information on it. The main part of the trophy looks to be brass, and the marli n on top is metal. The brass is tarnished. And will need to be polished to make it shine like a mirror. The very tip of the marlin's bill has the tiniest chip. You cannot even see it, but you can feel it. The trophy is heavy, about 8 pounds. This was awarded in a different era as far as fishing is concerned, but it will still make a beautiful decoration. Email me with any questions before bidding. Okuma Solaris Surf Fishing Rods-SS-C-1202MH-1 (Black, 12-Feet) SURF ROD CONVENTI
You are bidding on an Okuma Solaris SSC 1202 MH-1. 12 foot surf rod. This is a conventional rod NOT a Spinner. For a factory rod this one does a really great job. It is rated for 20 to 40 lb line but does well with 20# Suffix. Rated lure weight is 3-8 ounces but it hurls 6 and bait way on past the breakers. distance from the butt to the middle of the real seat is 29 inches. You can generate a lot of power and the rod loads really well for those really long casts. Great tip action as well. I would rate this a 9 out of 10 as far as cosmetics and functionality. I hate to part with it but I have far too many Rods that are custom made. I paid over 125.00 for this rod so hopefully you will get a deal. I will ship it in either PVC pipe or a heavy cardboard tube. UPS most likely. The grommets are all in place and the rope that goes through the grommets is in good shape. The Murray Brothers decal is in place on the back of the seat. Florida Commercial Fishing Numbers
The Auction is for 100 logbook fishing spots recorder by two lifetime commercial fishermenwith a combined total of over 70 years on the Gulf of Mexico. As you can see in the pictures. The numbers are in the old Loran-C format and will have to be converted to GPS using a good conversion software. I have used ANDREN software and realized conversions good to within 30 feet. ALL Numbers are in the Florida Gulf of Mexico and range from 7 or 8 miles offshore to deep water sites well offshore. I will try to accommodate your request for numbers that are as close to your launch area as is possible. You will have to message me with your launch location after the auction closes. This is a lot of 6 reconditioned. Commercial quality cimeters and can be used as a big fish(offshore use) filet knife, or a large butcher knife. Great for hunting, home, or restaurant use. I have totally reconditioned each knife- they are cleaned and sharpened- ready to use. Cimeters are long(9" to 10" Slightly curved, wide, stiff working knives- NOT, a flexible, narrow filet knife! I have many offshore and charter boats using this knife- cleaning fish, and cutting bait/chum. Also, many hunters, butchers, and meat processors use this style as an all-around knife. Also, many BBQ folks use this knife- great for brisket and ribs. Being quality commercial knives. Edge retention is very good; and, the knives are easy to resharpen. This is a long lasting knife; sharpen it by hand, and it should last for many years! Don't get carried ... moreaway with machine grinding. In commercial use, these knives were hollow ground on expensive, water- cooled machinery; so the correct blade taper is established. So hand sharpening should be all you need to maintain the edge.
