Antique 1900's Hand-Forged Fishing Gaff Hook 27 inches Long by 10 1/2 inches Wide This Antique 1900's Hand-Forged Fishing Gaff hook 28 inches long by 10 1/2 inches wide has been in my late husband's Antique Fishing Collection for over 35 years. This has a wonderful primitive look and character as it was hand-forged from steel/iron. It measures 28 long by 10 1/2 inches wide with the metal about 1.2 inch thick. This antique gaff hook weighs approximately 1 pound and 10 ounces. An antique fish collector told me this type of gaff hook was also used in large fish scale weighing units where the gaff hook was hooked onto the large fish scales. This item is in great condition. And it has aged wonderfully for being over 100 years old. This would make a great addition to your antique fishing collection, or your fishing nets/fishing float ... moredisplays or a great item for your man-cave.
