27" HEAVIEST MARLIN FISHING TROPHY 1984...Huge! ..VINTAGE Metal Brass Trophy
Up for auction is this extremely large fishing trophy. It measures about 27 inches high. Total. The bottom part is a square wood base, about 6 1/2 inches square and 4 inches high. The trophy is for the 2nd Annual Manufactures Marlin Round-Up, Heaviest Marlin, August 9-12, 1984. I tried to google the tournament, but I could find no information on it. The main part of the trophy looks to be brass, and the marli n on top is metal. The brass is tarnished. And will need to be polished to make it shine like a mirror. The very tip of the marlin's bill has the tiniest chip. You cannot even see it, but you can feel it. The trophy is heavy, about 8 pounds. This was awarded in a different era as far as fishing is concerned, but it will still make a beautiful decoration. Email me with any questions before bidding. Two classic vintage nostalgic sea side wooden structure fishing crab hand lines
See pictures for reference. This a nice set of two vintage children's crabbing hand lines from the 1950's/60's. Both have quite thick line rather than later nylon. Item 1 comes with two metal hook arms and a bottom lead weight. Item 2 comes with brown line and an unusual heavy lead fish shape weight but no hooks. There are also two extra fish shaped weights. Sold as nostalgic decorative items rather than functional pieces. Both wooden hand line constructions are rigid and complete without repairs. If you would like any further information or photographs. I'm a brunette rand the shirt only game in"BLONDES"so he bought it and took it to one of the spray paint artists that create T-shirt designs where we were and asked him to fix it. This is why it is a one of a kind. I spent many hours trying to find this shirt to no avail. This morning I found one sold that had Hawaii on it and" A BLOND" again.
