1971 WILDERNESS FISHING TRIP ONE WEEK, ME, MY 64 age DAD,MY 2 BOYS AGE14-10
My son's and I had made a fishing trip up North in 1970 and after it was over with we began to think about taking GRANDPA with us next time. We told him his only job was to take pictures and we would do all the hard work. Using his movie camera he did just that. Be aware this is not a Hollywood production so the quality in some places is not the best. So in 1971 we flew out of Ely Minnesota for this venture. It begins. Seeing us unload the plane with our packs of food, clothing, fishing gear, sleeping bags and canoes. Every time I watch it I go back in time and enjoy that time spent with all. The boys learned to work together in canoeing which was great to see happen. I don't remember seeing another person all the time we were in the wilderness. After the trip was finished they flew in to pick us up and we loaded up and headed back ... morehome to Kansas. The disk runs for approximately 46 minutes. A suggestion is to locate the'PAUSE' button when the disk is playing and if you want to'pause' the pictures and study it you are able to do so. The original movie film was put on 8 track tape then sent to a company to put on a disk. They apparently had problems doing it as they tried twice before getting it to burn.
