Up for bid is this wonderful. Rare set of Four Vintage Fish Plaques made by James Heddon's Sons Fishing Tackle Lure Company in Dowagiac. Michigan. They are in very good condition and are from a family friend's estate. All four are marked. From the famous collection of James Heddon's Sons Dowagiac, Michigan" The James Heddon's Sons Co. was. At one time, the worlds largest manufacturer of fishing tackle. It's inception was in 1902 and it's departure from Dowagiac was in 1984. The plaques show 4 different fish: Smallmouth Bass. Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout and Brook Trout. The plaques are made of wood and have a wonderful patina. Each plaque has a strip of what appears to be leather attached to the back from which to hang the plaque. The plaques vary slightly in size but are approx 5.5 inches x 10.5 inches.
