Up for bid are 3 vintage fishing reels. The 1st is a Penn Reels 101 spinning reel. 4:9:1 gear ratio. Looks good works great. I've used this spinner myself, I know that it works great. The 2nd is a South Bend SpinCast 63 Model A(Made in the USA) Good ole fashion reel that still works. Great as a collectable or take it 2 the lake! The 3d is a Shakespeare NO. 1765 Wonderflyte Model EG(also Made in the USA) Another good vintage reel but not in working order. Has all the pieces just doesn't engage after button is released. I don't really tinker with these but don't imagine it's a hard fix. All 3 of these reels are great collector pieces without the hefty price tag. Two antique Fly Fishing Reels. Meisselbach Expert& Union Hardware 7115S One reel is a Meisselbach Expert. Estimate it was manufactured before 1905. Only markings on the reel are EXPERT on the top bridge. Following the history of the Meisselbach Expert reel it appears to be Nickle plated brass. Reel is in rough shape. Not sure if complete or not. Reel needs a good cleaning and inspection to free up and see if restorable. Good wall hanger. Maybe parts reel. Second reel is a Union Hardware fly reel. Reel was manufactured in Torrington Connecticut. Reel has markings on backside but very difficult to read. Reel has not been cleaned or polished. Last digits of model number are.115S. Difficult to read due to the patina of the steel construction. Reel looks to be fully functional. Reel looks to be complete. Can't figure out if there is any ... morekind of drag adjustment. Clicker works, reel turns nice for its age. If I would have to guess reel is circa 1900-1910. Union reel experts please advise if my assumption is in error. 4 Avet LX 6.0:1 Fishing reels
4 almost brand new Avet Lx 6.0:1. These reels were bought less than a year ago to be used on my private sport fishing boat. I had a reel smith put new cams and updated drag washers in all four. These reels have a 6 to 1 gear ratio extremely fast retrieving rate. I only used these reels on maybe five trips there isnt a scratch or evidence of wear and tear on any of the reels. These reels have caught tunas. Sails, white and blue marlins. These reels are extremely good for deep dropping because of the high gear ratio. these reels go for $250 a piece new. looking to get rid of them to make more shelf space. there currently is new suffix 20# High- Viz line on the reels.

I'm selling 2 J.C Higgins ice fishing( poles with reels. The shortest fishing pole is about 41 1/2 inches. The fishing pole says"JC Higgins Pistol Grip" on the handle grip and on the other side it says"JC Higgins Model 30/62" On the reel it says"JC Higgins No. 537-3101" It has a picture of a fish jumping out of the water on one side of the reel and on the other side it has a picture of someone fishing. The reel is level wind and has its original line. The fishing pole is intact but has a very small crack on the grip(1/4" The fishing pole and reel are in good condition. It works well and looks good with a light wear and a strong clicker. It's missing two screws from the foot, a keeper screw from the handle nut and it has a small chip to the crank side plate. The reel on the right is a Sears#641272 Drive Direct level wind that works well. It needs a cleaning and has a crack to one plastic handle and a slight bend to the foot. While preparing to retire to a small cabin in the"Great North Woods" i came across boxes of fishing and/or hunting related promotional memorabilia and past year's salesman's samples. I had collected these gifts to our retail store from various manufacturers over many years but recently sold the store and have no room to continue storing them. THIS one is really quite uncommon. Even our local PENN Reels salesman didn't remember ever having seen another one! We figure it dates back to the late 60's or early 70's but may be earlier. PENN Reels has changed hands several times in recent years making ORIGINAL PENN promotional items quite collectable. This auction is for(1) Metal Tackle Box with 2 Bait Casting Reels as seen in the pictures above. The box is all metal and is brown. It has a sticker on top that says Simonsen. There is some tackle in the box as well. The 2 reels are the gems of this lot. One of them is"The 50" from Pioneer and we are not sure what the other one is but it has cork in the center and there is a guide for the line.
