These are two complete. Identical J. C. Higgins brand fishing rods, from the late 1950's- 1960. The handles are in very good condition, showing light surface oxidation(light enough that it could likely be pretty much polished out, with the proper effort, at buyer's discretion) I have only cleaned them with a cloth and water. All parts are present& fuction properly. The roads. Which are 57-58 inches long, break down into two pieces. They are also very good, the loops are fine, showing only some light oxidation. TWO VINTAGE POST WWII SPLIT BAMBOO FLY/CAST FISHING RODS AND BOX This auction is for two vintage Post WWII split bamboo Japanese rods in original condition. One is a“Sure Strike” fly/casting combination and the second is a“Tiger” fly rod. What is really cool is all of the rods sections are interchangeable and fit on both rods. There is a“Sure Strike decal and a partial Tiger decal on the bottom sections. All of the sections measure 33” which would equate to an 8’ fly rod and a 5.6’ casting rod. I would estimate the fly line weight to be a four-five. There are six inch cork handles on both rods. The Tiger rod handle has a chip near the top which will not affect its use. Both of the screw down lock reel seats are in very good condition. Mid sections: one has two snake eye guides the second has one. Fly Rod Tip Sections: Both have three snake ... moreeye guides. There is a slight natural set which will not affect the casting of the rod. Casting Tip section: Three guides. Bottom sections: both have stripper guides and hook keepers. The rods fit together perfectly(again all sections are interchangeable) and have the distinct pop sound when removed. The wooden box has some splits/cracks(see picture) but is still very sound. Rod#1: Power Stick Model: PSF1015302 10'0" 15-30 lb. line 1-5 oz. lure. This rod is needs the tip replaced. The weld that holds it together is broken. Easy fix. The rod appears to have been lightly used, there are a few minor scratches on the blank and some wear on the handle. Rod#2: Power Stick Model: PSF912202 9'0" 12-20 lb. line 1-5 oz. lure. This rod is missing the insert on the guide below the tip. Otherwise. It appears to be brand new, I can't even find a scratch on the blank. Rod#3: Ocean Master Model: OM10SS 10'0" 4-8 oz. lure. This lot contains 8 Browning Stalker Gold baitcasting rods which were floor models. Damaged in shipping or returns to Bass Pro Shops. Most of these rods need minor repair and all are sold as is. Please look at the pictures and ask questions if necessary. I will do my best to describe the condition of the rods. Rod#1: Model: STG1066MHT 6'6" 10-20 lb. line. 3/8-1 oz. Medium Heavy Power, Fast Action. This rod is missing the butt cap. It has been used, there is quite a bit of wear on the handle. The blank is in excellent condition, a couple small scratches. Rod#2: Model: STG1066MHT 6'6" 10-20 lb. line. 3/8-1 oz. Medium Heavy Power, Fast Action. There is nothing wrong with this rod, it appears to be brand new. This rod is missing the inserts on the tip and the guide below the tip. A couple of minor scratches on blank, handle wrapped in original plastic. Also, I ship these rods in 4" PVC pipe in order to minimize the risk of damage. I have these 2 Daiwa Baitcasting rods in medium action they are their Spinnerbait/ Crankin' rods made in Glass Fiber they have nice action for spinnerbait fishing and crankbait fishing. Lure Wt. 1/4 to 3/4 oz. line 8 to 17 lb. Model number is in above listing. I have had them for a few years and not really used them that much. I rate the condition 8 out of 10 and they have never been touched with the same eyes and tips they came with.Both 6'6" and same model. I believe I paid over $100 each for them new. I have these 2 G-Loomis rods Rod#1 is the CR723/ 6' Med. Heavy Fast action 10 to 17lb 1/4 to 3/4 oz. GL3 has never been touched. Same eyes and tip very nice for a top water bait or spinnerbait that's what I used it for.I bought this rod new for over $220.00.Rod#2 is the MBR 784c/ 6'6" heavy Fast action 12- 20lb 1/4- 1 oz. GL3 this rod has a new tip and 1 new eye that I sent out and had done. I did measure it and its 6'5 1/2" I never broke the rod just knocked the disk out of the tip trying to get a lure free, so either the guy that put the tip on sanded the tip a little or they are made like that, seems very nice to me. I used this rod just for spinnerbait fishing. I paid over $220 for this one new too. I packaged both together to make a better deal with the shipping. New York filmmaker who likely made this film. I don't know if the film was actually ever finished or released. This version might be what's known as a"lab print" or"color time" print, and it has no soundtrack. For some reason it also has dailies at the very head of the film, before the main titles and separated by leader. The film is pretty astonishing especially if you're into vintage fishing gear. Horrocks-Ibbotson was one of America's largest production rod companies for many years. Competing head to head with Montague and South Bend. This company that came to be known as the World's Largest Manufacturer of Fishing Tackle traces its history to 1812 but did not become involved with fishing tackle until 1863 when an English immigrant named James Horrocks was hired as a clerk. In 1894, Edward Ibbotson was hired as an errand boy. Gradually the company acquired existing tackle companies. In 1905 the company built a new factory in Utica, New York and continued to grow until it was known throughout the world. The firm was incorporated in 1909 as the Horrocks-Ibbotson Co. The rods made by Horrocks-Ibbotson in the years up to 1935 filled every niche in the rod making business. This lot contains 6 Bass Pro Shops Extreme fishing rods which were returns or damaged in shipping to Bass Pro Shops. 5 are casting. 2 are spinning. Most of these need some type of repair and a couple of them are in pretty rough shape. The first 5 are casting rods, the last 2 are spinning. These rods retail for about $100 each new. This rod is missing the insert on the bottom guide. Otherwise, it is in brand new condition, not even a scratch that I can find. Rod#2: Model: EXT74MT 7'4" 1/4-5/8 oz. 8-17 lb. Medium Power. Fast Action. This rod is missing the bottom guide and the tip. There are a lot of scrapes around the bottom guide, it ... moreappears that someone cut off the guide and scraped the rod up pretty bad. Pair of 5' 6" Two Piece Ultra Light Action Fishing Rods- Abu Garcia- Daiwa
Up for auction are two 5' 6" two piece ultra light action fishing rods. One is an Abu Garcia Conolon Three Star for 1/8-1/2 oz lures and 2-6 lb test line. The other is an Daiwa Triforce-X for 1/32-3/8 oz lures and 2-4 lb test line. Both rods are used and have some scratches to the finish and the Daiwa rod has some nicks to the foam on the handle. Line guides of both rods are solid and not bent. Both are still in good shape and in fishable condition. The Daiwa rod was made in Thailand and the Abu Garcia was made in Korea.

This is a personal travel fishing rod and reel set. I have never seen anything like it in over 15 years of collecting fishing tackle. This truely is Museum Quality. I don't really care if it sells or not. It's just that good. The set is in excellent to mint in condition. Everything in it is vintage and is sure to please the most descriminating collector. The case was custom made. It's heavy duty and has two brass snap down clasps to keep it closed and a brass handle. Inside there are 4 Ocean City reels like new to near mint. A 6' Montague split bamboo rod(mint) and a Shakespeare Howald 7 1/2' baitcast rod(mint)Vintage rods and reels are described inside an early Montague rod/Ocean City reels catalogue No. 51. The 6' Montague rod is known as the 12DB"Dreadnaught"Tip and butt at equal length. Stock: Clear frame ... morefinish split bamboo. Grips: Double, fluted, and finished a rich dark brown. Rubber button. Reel Seat" Chromium plated, knurled band, B" grade Scrulock. Guides: Stainless steel guides on butt and tip. Stainless steel stirrup top. Ferrule" Hand welt, chromium plated, reinforced double thick. Wound with two colors of silk. Heavy varnished. Description of this rod taken from page 14 of Catalog No. 51.
