Bristol, Conn. and the flange on the rear reel foot holder is marked Pat. Appld. For. Rod has a couple cracks in the butt section body and some general finish wear, looks like it was probably a higher end Bristol rod, about 5' 8" in length; 2) unmarked steel casting rod with darkened cork handles, 2-piece rod with three agate eyes, very stout, just over 4 feet in length; 3) Gephart Mfg. Co. Gephart Square Caster rod, had the rod name on the reel seat and is also marked Chicago, Ill. 1-piece rod with three agate eyes and featuring ... morea trigger finger grip, cork has some wear; 4) unmarked steel casting rod, 3-piece rod with four agate eyes with german silver fittings, butt section metal has a crack running along the length, looks like it was a high end rod in its day, about 4' 3" long; 5) Horton Bristol rod with tiny eyelets and wrapped black handle, 3-piece rod shows quite a bit of overall wear, about 6' 2" in length; and(6) Horton Bristol rod that, judging by the eyelets, looks like a steel spinning rod, 3-piece rod is in nice used condition, tip eyelet is an agate, reel seat is marked The Horton Mfg. One is a custom made rod on a Sabre blank made by"The River Rat" of Arizona. Both rods are in excellent shape, the wrapping is still intact with no unwinding or deterioration of the epoxy. This auction is for two Offshore Angler Extreme saltwater fishing rods. They were both floor models or returns at Bass Pro Shops. Rod#1: Kingfish Model OEKFC71025 7'0" 10-25 lb. 3/8-2 oz. lures. This rod is missing the insert on the 5th guide from the tip. It is also missing the gimbal cap. The blank is in good shape. But there are some scratches. The biggest scratch is between the 4th and 5th guides from the bottom(see close-up photo) There are a few other scratches as well.The reel seat works fine. This rod is in rough shape. It is missing the butt cap and the last couple of cork rings are not intact. The cork overall is in very rough shape. It is missing the 3rd guide from the bottom and the bottom 2 guides have had a lot of the epoxy flake off. It is also missing the insert in the tip. Rod#2: Model: WA60MLJS 6'0" Lure wt: 4-10 lb. Power Medium Lite Action Fast. This rod is in great shape except it is missing the insert in the tip. The handle has very minor wear. This rod is in great shape except it is missing the black plastic piece that screws into the butt cap. This piece does not affect the performance of the rod. The handle has minor wear. The blank is in great shape. But has a few small scratches from handling. The rod only measures about 6'8" It must have had 4 inches broken off the end and someone replaced the tip. Please note that these rods are sold AS IS. I tested all of the reel seats and all are working. Also. I ship these rods in 4" PVC pipe in order to minimize the risk of damage. Both rods and reels are veterans with the expected cosmetic wear– but still fully functional with lots of fishable life left. The rods are 32” and 35” long. They have a large rubber foot and large eye on the tip. The reel is 7” exterior diameter and(approx) 4 ¾” interior spool diameter. There is a plug for the holes in the reel frame to set your depth.
