Ultra Rare Old Spur Oil Can Rack! Talk about something you have never seen before! This is an original. Never opened, never put together, never used Spur Oil can display rack. This is extremely rare(I have never seen one prior to finding these) let alone a near mint condition New Old Stock example. It is a cool looking 30 can display rack that has a double sided metal display sign featuring the trademark"Spur" and Supreme Motor Oil on both sides. The condition is excellent/minty with only some minor scratches on the sign and a few small nicks in the metal tubes, probably from the original packaging/shipping. Nothing really noticeable or detracting(see pics) The colors of this sign are bright and vibrant. No fade at all. The sign and rack have a great shine too. Very clear and reflective. Just a wonderful rack. It will be an incredible ... moredisplay for you oil cans. It even has metal casters so you can roll it around your shop/man cave. This rack has never been used as I found it stored away in its original unopened box in an old gas warehouse. Three nice 1930's era matchbooks promoting three national gas chains: 1) Shell. 2) Sinclair and(3) Gulf. The Shell book also has ad inside book and the Sinclair ad has the familiar dinosaur used in their ads during this period. These come from a collection I recently obtained at a small estate sale. Most books in that collection are from the 1930's. Books were glued onto a collection sheet and some of the strikers have been affected by removal. With a few age marks to the OD finish, and with the black composition edge rim starting to separate from the shell at the left side of the face and at the right back(ALL pictured) This could likely be repaired, but we will leave it to the next owner to decide whether to do so. The 1940 policies were for the same 1938 Chevrolet De Lux but the policy was $9.05 more than in 1938@ $38.05. The other 1940 policy was on a 1929 Pontiac Sedan.
