Here we have a nice clean example of a small town brewer from Ontario with the name W.Garret debossed in a bright cobalt blue on the shoulder.This quart sized primitive has a beautiful wonky neck and top which reminds us of the hand made process each bottle would have gone through making each one unique and full of character. Listed in the Canadian primitives book as hard to find. The condition is great with no chips.Cracks or repairs the only issue I can see would be two pot stone flakes on the back which would of happened in the kiln during the manufacturing of the bottle see pic.Would be a super addition to your Canadian primitive or stoneware collection.Size is 10 1/4 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches across the bottom. ONTARIO SP8 SURVIVAL MACHETE NO RESERVE AUCTION
Thanks for looking this is a no reserve auction for an Ontario SP8 Survival Machete. If you aren't familiar with this blade it is a pretty intense tool. The blade is essentially a flat bar. Ten inches long and a quarter inch thick. It has a sharpened chisel point and a deep choil for choking up on the blade for finer work. Made in the USA of 1095 steel, which is a very hard steel that will stand up well to abuse(but it will rust) The spine is serrated, but not very effective as a saw. The sheath is also a little too complex for my taste, but it works just fine. Priority shipping to the lower 48/Paypal only please no returns.
