This is an old 5lb Pennsylvania Candy Scale made by National Store Specialty Co. Bareville.PA. The plate on the scale says 10 R PO 8771 which I beleive is the serial number. The scale is in pretty good shape, the glass is not cracked, there are some scratches and the lettering is faded some, everything seems to work ok, it may need to be calibrated. There is a bubble level in the center to level it up. The flat round porcelain pan is 10" in diameter. It is 21" tall x 22" long x 10 1/2" wide and weighs 40lbs. This unusual old tin and plastic musical instrument is about 13 1/2" long x 4 1/4" wide x 1 3/4" thick and it is marked"Mfgd by Harmonic-Reed Corp. Conshohocken, Pa. When you blow in the mouthpiece it plays the note or chord of the key(s) that are depressed. The piece is well made with bright color and good detail and makes a nice, loud harmonic sound. There is a little wear and the lowest note doesn't work but otherwise the instrument is in good original condition and it plays Ok. My best guess as to age is ca. 1940s-1950s. Good luck!
