Civil War 15th Pa Cavalry Reunion Large Photograph Company K Men Identified DESCRIPTION This is a very large cabinet photograph of the attendees at the 15th Pennsylvania Cavalry Company K reunion on August 21. 1907. This was taken at Glen Eyrie in Colorado Springs. Glen Eyrie was the home of General Palmer who founded Colorado Springs. Glen Eyrie is still standing today. The photo was taken by Routh& Havis. The two women in the photo are the daughters of General Palmer. Civil war veterans pictured in the photograph in the top row, left to right are as follows: Edward W. Woods; Edward E. Hewitt; J. M. The total size of the photo and backer is 18 inches by 15 inches. The photograph is 13 1/2 inches by 10 1/2inches. The photo has some minor age fading. And there are some nicks in the edges of the backer board plus a crease on the back side(see photo) Images are still fairly clear. There are not any extraneous marks on the photo except for three black specks in the skyline. The backer board is soiled but the printing is still quite legible. I purchased the photo in an old frame. The frame is nothing special, but I can send it if the purchaser wants to pay the extra postage it will take. The exterior measurements of the frame are 20 1/4 by 17 5/8 inches. PLEASE NOTE: The photo with the frame and glass boxed will be approximately seven pounds and will need to go parcel post. This unusual antique glass paperweight is about 4" long x 2 1/2" wide x slightly over 3/4" thick and it feels nice and heavy for its size. It features a picture of"Martyred President William McKinley" and it marked"Lewis P. Peters. East Mauch Chunk, Pa. on the back. There is a short write up on the back paper that describes President McKinley's political career and his assassination in 1901 at the Pan-American Expo in Buffalo, N.Y. and the subsequent execution by electric chair of the assassin. The paper labels are intact by the paper is rough with cracking and some wrinkling. The Esso and ESSO EXTRA part of the paper labeling is still easy to read. You can tell where the price per gallon and gallons parts of the label are but reading those areas is difficult. The shakers are in excellent condition. This is an authentic Pennsylvania State Police Riot Helmet. This one was issued in 1991. Before they updated them and took them out of service. I am downsizing and have nowhere to display it so I might as well pass it on. This would be a great addition to anyone's PA State Police collection. The helmet is complete with the working visor. Visor has a few scratches and scuffs but that is expected because it is an issued riot helmet. The helmet itself is is very good condition. Paint and decal are pretty much perfect. No chips or scratches. Adjustment and chin straps are like the day it was issued.

The plate has a white background color and is fully glazed. The writing as well as the image of the Square and Compasses with the letter"G" within them are in blue transfer. When I turned it over. I found a label for"McAllister& Bro. 194 Chestnut St. Philad'a, Importers and Dealers in Mathematical, Optical, Philosophical Instruments. More than likely, there was some type of optical piece originally in the box. It is in good condition and measures 8" long x 4 3/4" wide x 1 1/2" tall and blue velvet lined with inside pocket. 1853 May 4 McAllister& Brother. 1855 moves to 194 Chestnut St. Becomes: William Y. McAllister in 1865. Inside were some interesting documents from the 1850's belonging to James H. Hubbard and I am including them. They are from Richmond. Virginia. 1960s Boy Scout Troop 150 Hyde Park, Reading, PA neckerchief - RARE
This neckerchief was custom made in the mid-1960s for Boy Scout Troop 150 from Hyde Park. A suburb of Reading, PA. Somewhere around 50 to maybe even 100 were made originally. This neckerchief is not complete. In addition to the blue and white border visible in the photo, it originally had blue and white cotton balls(about 3/8" diameter) hanging from blue and white strings about every 3/4" along the blue and white border. What normally happened was that some of the balls would fall off when the neckerchief was worn, and the scout would then remove all the rest of them. That's what happened to this particular neckerchief. I was a member of troop 150 at that time. The initials"FCJ" are written on the back of a tip. Which would be rolled up when the neckerchief is worn. As a result, you have to search for the initials ... moreto find them- they are not in the open. This neckerchief has been in a box with other scout stuff for almost 50 years. And it has not been ironed in all that time. That is why there are wrinkles in it. Please email with any questions.
