This image of the Tower of Jewels is inlayed with pieces of mother of pearl. With the frame. It measures 13" x 6.5" No info on the back, but has an attached wire for hanging on a wall. Bought this item from an estate sale that had many other original pieces of artwork from the 1915 exposition in San Francisco. The Tower of Jewels was the centerpiece of the Expo and covered in over 100.000 Novagems that caught the sun during the day and the floodlights at night. Tower stood 435 feet. Hand-Stitched Dolphin Kuna Mola San Blas Islands Panama ~ Many Colors!
Up for auction is a Kuna Mola that I acquired in the 1970's that was handmade by the Kuna people of the San Blas Islands in Panama. I am unsure exactly when this was made but has to be at least 40 years old. I remember when I got them that the worn and faded ones were worth more due to the fact that they had actually been worn by the Indian women.This piece features a burgundy base with multiple beautiful colors in a two dolphin pattern. It measures 16" x 13" This piece is part of a collection that I am listing on Ebay. There is some observable wear on this piece. Vintage Balboa Lager .5 liter stein or mug Panama Brewing and Refrigerating Co.
Rare stein/mug. I have found only two other Balboa Brewing items with this logo. One was a coaster on a collector's site(not for sale) that was reported to be from the 1910's. The other was a paper bottle label that sold in March on ebay for $51. Reported to be from the 1950's. This is a beautiful stein in very good condition. The only flaw I identified is a small scratch at the top of the logo. Between the L and B. There is a 6 or 9 on the bottom and another small symbol I cannot identify. The 0.5 L fill mark is in italics. Great piece for the bar or for the serious collector. If you know anything about this stein. I would appreciate you sharing the knowledge with me.
