It looks like Iron to me, but I don't really know for sure. I have no certification papers on this ancient artifact, only his personal testimony. The Roman coin is in good condition. Zulu spear from the ANglo-Zulu wars of about 1880-3.5 feet high with shaped metal spear on original wood shaft-all original with original patina of age. There are tally marks towards the throwing end. Sort of crisscross darker marks-what these represent we dont know. The spear has been in one family for the over 100 years and was brought back from Africa.As good a condition I expect as you will find one-the metal spear end is pitted but has not been blunted and should be handled with care. The Item is directly from Rome. I have had it in my possession since the 1982. It was professionally framed in Germany when I lived there as a kid. The frame is made of cherry and hand made. The item will need to be re framed. The backing is coming loose behind the spear. The frame is in perfect condition. But will need a little TLC. Good Luck Has been in my family a long time and is very dear to me. But recent financial reasons has forced to re-consider keeping things that are not a necessity of life. The item is Extremely rare it was not some tourist store junk. We lived in Germany for 3 years I visited Rome 3 times My father did very important work. Helping chemist with equipment that helped them get years ahead of where they were at the time. One of the people he helped we stayed with in Rome and showed us around. Mares Cyrano Spear Gun Extremely Lightly Used Pneumatic
This is what looks to be a very lightly used Mares Cyrano Speargun. The reason I say lightly is because it looks like what accessories it has are in a plastic bag and from my eye look to be new or darn close. Also one of the shaft looking things still has a Mares sticker on it. The instruction book is in the case. I know nothing about spear guns. it is about 36" if that helps.

VINTAGE AFRICAN MASSAI WARRIOR HUNTING SPEAR- DOUBLE ENDED IRON BOUND Description. A massive hand forged Massai warrior hunting spear. The flattened spear point with chiselled tribal markings. The other end with a hand forged heavy iron spike. The wooden shaft is bound with flattened iron/wire. The spike end has been removed so would make it easier to send through the post. I believe this dates early-mid 20th century. In very good condition but it has been given a coat of lacquer/varnish at some time. Presumably to prevent rusting- see photos or ask questions. The colour of the iron work seems lighter in some of the photos- it is nearer to the darkest colour.
