This 48 year old bottle cap was issued as part of a promotional advertising series called Travel The USA in about 1962 to 1963. There were 102 caps in the set with each cap given a number. This particular cap was made by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Baltimore Maryland as it reads on the side. The condition is shown. I bought this right after the first Gulf War when Bush 41 was President. I always thought I'd try to get in signed but never had the opportunity. These were made by the WORTH Co. in Tennessee and were called"Tenessee Thumpers" as were their MLB bats at the time. I believe they are out of business. This is a full size ash"Bush Wacker" model and that appears on both sides of the barrell along with a picture of a tied and bound Saddam Hussein. I have had this in a display case since new and it is in like new condition with a little fraying on the factory taped handle. This is a great historical. Take a good look! This is really a great looking RARE VERY OLD vintage pennant. It is a nice looking LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN TENNESSEE PENNANT. Th e pennant features THE UMBRELLA ROCK ON POINT LOOKOUT in the a rtwork. This pennant was purchased in a group of very old pennants. Two could be dated to 1914 and 1915. I am confident from the look/style/feel that this pennant is from that era as we ll(1910s) The seller also stated these were all about the same age. I have seen hundreds of Lookout Mountain pennants. But there are much more"fancy" thin gs(ruby falls. Incline railway, lookout point) to advertise and display in the artwork nowadays vs. the"UMBRELLA ROCK" I also notice the la dder going up to the rock. Back then folks would climb up on the rock for photographs. This rock looks like it is t eetering. But they said you could ... moreput 30 peo ple on it and yet it would remain stable.
