1800s Uniform Button North Texas Female College Kidd Key College
Vintage Uniform button marked: N.T.F.C. I believe this is the"North Texas Female College" which later became Kidd Key College. Button is also marked" Waterbury Button Co. This backmark was in use from 1849 through 1965. However the shank is a loop with a spot of solder fixing it in place which I believe places it in the mid to late 1800's. It's old. Button measures 9/16ths inches across. Button is in very good used condition and is being sold as-is. Back has some tarnish I think a pencil eraser will remedy. Front has some surface dirt which you could remove if you choose. Otherwise it is in excellent condition. I have several I will be listing individually, however you will recieve the exact button in the photos from the listing. Take a good look at the photos as piece is being sold as-is.

There is also a tear on page# 3 I just noticed it or I would have taken a photo. It is tight good book. There is a small ding on the back cover. All should show on the photos. This coin was minted to honor Texas's Independence from Mexico. The obverse has an eagle sitting on a branch in front of the Lone Star. The symbol of Texas. The reverse shows the goddess Victory spreading her wings over the Alamo. It also depicts Sam Houston on her left and Stephen Austin on her right. Antique Miniature or Doll Quilt in the unusual Flying Crow pattern. Constructed of cotton fabrics.Including Chrome Yellow calico and white ground Shirtings with black motifs. Hand pieced. No batting or quilting. Edging is machine stitched. Some damp staining to the fabrics, visible on the front and back as light tan-this quilt has not been laundered by me, but in my experience with these colors, I feel it could be hand laundered in a mild soap. Over 200 companies sprang up from the Spindletop oil boom, but only a handful of them was still in business 50 years later. Familiar local companies born of Spindletop black gold were the Gulf Oil Corp. and The Texas Company, with the latter being the only survivor today. The Texas Company was renamed Texaco, Inc. in 1959. From modest beginnings in 1902 with the construction of The Texas Company’s first refinery, Port Arthur Works, an international, major oil company was born.
