The wire will pull out and the record player motor will retract it back in. From what we understand these are rather unique and used in the Detroit area on the Detroit and St. Clair rivers to troll for Walleye with. You are looking at a 2004 Minn Kota bow mounted electric trolling motor. This motor has 50 lbs thrust. With a 48" shaft, and is in good working condition. I purchased it on a boat in 2007 and have not used it to speak of since then. I don't know how much it was used in the first three seasons. The prop has no knicks or scrapes on it and the whole unit is clean. There is some normal fading, however I kept the boat covered when not in use. Includes motor, foot controls, mounting base, mounting hardware and owners manual. I do not want to ship this large item so it will be for pick up only. Trolling Motor Prop Removing Tool
This tool will help remove your 2-blade prop when it is stuck on from the shear pin being bent or something caught behind the prop preventing it from being easily removed by hand. I used it on a Motorguide that had a 2-blade prop many times. I bough it after hammering a prop off and damaging the motor which turned out to be very expensive. I dont know if it will work on your trolling motor but if it is a 2-blade prop. It should. It is all metal except the knob handle which is plastic. The tool pulls the prop off without putting pressure on the motor bearings which prevents damaging the trolling motor.

Motorguide Brute 767 Tour Edition Trolling Motor: 2002 model. 12/24 Volt, 67pound, 40" shaft with Gator Mount. Pulled my 19 foot boat just fine I only upgraded due to fishing a lot of grass. Motor works/runs fine and is clean. Comes with a spare prop and a Machete prop which is on the unit. Has a spot on the head with a little dock rash, but no big deal as seen in the pictures. Original owners manual and paperwork. No electrical plug. My boat was used very little when I purchased it 3 years ago and this motor was on it. I suspect it was seldom used and it served me well for 3 years. Great motor for somebody with no reserve.
