This is a really neat and pretty piece. Sitting on a mirrored base the owl is clear cut faceted lead crystal on the bottom half and frosted lead crystal on the top with cut green crystal eyes with a tiny dot in the middle of each eye. The mirror is 2 3/4" square and the owl approx 1 12" high X 1" wide. You would not expect this little owl to weight as much as it does.

Lot of 3 Unusual Vintage Handmade Fishing Lures, Lead with Red Glass Eyes
Up for sale today: 3 unusual& odd looking old handmade fishing lures! They seem to be made out of lead. The eyes on all of them are red glass. 1 eye has an obvious chip. Remnants of the original yellow paint can be seen on all three. 2 measure 4 inches long to the end of the feathers& 1 measures 3 1/2 inches long to the end of the fur. Widths across the lead parts are 5/8 of an inch. 5/8 of an inch& 3/8 of an inch. 2 have rusty hooks protruding from the feathers. The 3rd one has no hook that I can see. These are old& very primitive. Even crude looking, please look closely at the photos, I tried to get them from different angles& in different lights. Antique wood DUCK DECOY GLASS EYES lead weight PRIMITIVE vtg Hand carved weather
My father bought this old wood duck in about 1953 and used it as a decorative item in our house. It was very old at that time. The body was exceptionaly carved to make use of the wood grain. It had been used so much that the wood grain stands out and it is very easy to feel the different degrees of height on the wood. The carver made use of the grain to accent where the wings would be etc. It is extremely well done. There are a couple of knots in the wood. One on each side in front on the chest and one almost to the tail. It still has the original lead weight on the bottom and the original glass eyes. It is 16" long and stands 5 3/4" to the top of it's head. Body is about 3 1/2" tall at the center. It does have a varnish finish to the wood which is also very old. But probably not original. GERMAN COMPOSITION REINDEER W/LEAD ANTLERS & GLASS EYES-EXCELLENT CONDITION
You are bidding on a composition German reindeer that has the traditional lead antlers. Glass eyes and remnants of it's original red harness in excellent condition. The right front leg has a older minor glue repair and the antlers are missing part of it's paint and were reinforced with glue at the top of the head where the antlers are mounted.This reindeer measures about 5 inches high to the top of the antlers and just over 6 inches long.
