This box has definitely been used. It has paint loss and dings and scratches. The aluminum drawers have some bent edges. But it still folds up easily. The latches closes easily. The top and bottom are a little offset. The handle is metal. There is no plastic on this vintage piece. The name"Kennedy" is above the latch. Inside the top, is another label. Up for bids is a vintage Umco 3 tray aluminum tackle box. Box is 60's. 70's I believe. Very good condition for its age. Only one small dent to the right above the latch( which works) as show in the photo, other wise its just needs a good cleaning. I don't know what best for aluminum, so I will leave cleaning to the new owner. All of the plastic tray inserts have some degree of"worm burn" from mild to severe but are intact. No rust. Just oxidized. Storage under the trays and a compartment off to the side under the trays for a reel, spool of line ect. 25 tackle slots in all, 7 larger ones on the top tray and 18 normal size slots in the two trays below plus a slot running the entire length of the 2 lower trays in front of the tackle slots. Vintage Aluminum Tackle Box Double Sided UMCO Corp Model 11
This vintage aluminum tackle box has fasteners to clip both lids closed and a thin enough profile to be quite portable. The construction makes the unit rustproof. aluminum and plastic don't rust. There is an end d-ring to secure the box for hiking or backpacking I suppose. This model is rather ingenious and versatile. It measures just under 11" x 5" x 2 1/2" This example is in good shape though I didn't attempt to clean it one bit. I've had bad luck trying to clean aluminum so I figured I'd leave it to the new owner rather than risk discoloring another super cool antique. Almost everything I sell is vintage. And even if it's less than 20 years old it was harvested from estate or garage sales. Thrift stores, auctions or flea markets. Now that being said I do my best to fully describe any obvious flaws. Up for auction is this Vintage UMCO 1000A Tackle Box. Box is made of Aluminum& is in good used condition. Features(7) Trays& 53) Compartments. 4) of the top compartments have"worm burns" a couple of the lower ones(see pics) Has one very small hole in(1) of the smaller compartments. Has a couple minor dings on the lid(see pic) But doesn't affect overall condition. Hinges& Handle are solid. Snap closures work fine. 1) closure has"Jake" inscribed on it, but is hard too see. You are bidding on a vintage Kennedy Aluminum model 1117AL 4 tray tackle box. The box measures 24 by 14 by 10 inches and features fold out lined trays. The box has some minor dents on top with some minor paint loss that could be corrected easily. The trays are in good shape and the trays open and close smoothly. The handle and latch are both in good shape.

This is a classic UMCO Tacklebox model number B 11. There are no warm burns and it all the plastic is in good shape no dents or dings in the aluminum.
