I've had bad luck trying to clean aluminum so I figured I'd leave it to the new owner rather than risk discoloring another super cool antique. Almost everything I sell is vintage. And even if it's less than 20 years old it was harvested from estate or garage sales. Thrift stores, auctions or flea markets. Now that being said I do my best to fully describe any obvious flaws. This is a large capacity aluminum Umco 1000 AS Tackle Box filled with mostly rubber type lures. My father was an avid fishing lure collector. He once owned a lure that was one of only 4 known to exist in the entire world. He sold it to take our family on our first and last vacation. Up for auction is this Vintage UMCO 133A Aluminum 3-Tray Tackle Box with 22 compartments. The tackle box is in overall good condition with some splatter spots on the exterior with one dent in the front left corner( see last photo) The latch on the front opens and closes with little effort and the plastic handle is in good condition as well. The interior is in good condition and the plastic inserts are not cracked or broken. But do show signs of usage. There are a total of 22 compartments in the inserts and the inserts open easily,the bottom of the box is also in good shape. Vintage Round Aluminum tackle box or storage container
A vintage old aluminum round tackle box is up for auction. This container could be used for alot of things but it was used for a tackle box. It has removable parts. The top has two hinges that does have some rust and wear on them. The first layer has 4 round containers with movable lids. The small round ones do not move they are screwed down. That top lid with the 4 containers moves off and then there is a mother compartment below. It has two containers that don't move along with one small one that is movable. THEN if you take that out you have a the bottom of the round container. There is wear and water marks on all of the movable lids. There is no marking on the maker and I don't know much about it. Vintage Simonsen Tackle Box with Old Lures and Extras ~ Aluminum Four Tray
Up for auction is a vintage Simonsen Aluminum fishing tackle box. This box belonged to my grandfather. He bought it new at Harrisons Bait and Tackle in Midtown. Tn and he was so proud of it.until the latch broke on the first day. He got so mad that he didn't want it anymore and just gave it to me. I just used it for a few years but then it sat on a shelf in the garage for nearly 40 years. I cleaned the garage out over the weekend and decided to clean this thing up a bit and sell it. I put a new rivet on the latch(see in picture) It has a small hole and some rust in the bottom and a small dent on one corner. The cork in the trays are still pretty good considering the age of this thing. Everything works fine on it.
