Penn Senator 4/0 With Accurate Fishing Frame
Penn senator 4/0 with new Accurate frame. The frame has never been fished and was placed on the reel a few months ago. When putting it on the reel I did accidentally put a ding in the frame. The reel has drag and free spool I have never fished this reel it is sold as is. Line looks to be 80lb. The reel does have flaking of the crome and normal boats rash. This re e l is a great condition. I wasn't aware that Accurate made spoo ls. First off the corrosion spots are on the handle and around the clamp studs. That's about it. I replaced any internal parts that showed wear. Thos e pa rt's include. New right side bearing, New dog, New drags 5 of them(Sm oothies) Click spring(See photos) The gears in this reel are in like new condition. That's the reason I took photo's after servicing it. I also put a cushion on the eccentric lever to keep the side plate from being dinged any further. That's one thing that I didn't mention. The ding marks from the lever. Here is a nice clean used Penn 146 Squidder Jr. the narrow squidder. It has an accurate frame and an aluminum spool. There is some minor scratching on the chrome from normal use. There is no rod clamp. It spins free and the drag is smooth and the clicker is loud. It is loaded with 15 lb. green P-Line.

OK now. This is not your average used Squidder. Three of the most important features of any lightweight jigging reel are the drag configuration- adding and upgrading drag washers increases drag but may add stress to other internal components) The rigidity of the frame and durability of the main and pinion gears in order to withstand constant use and to handle a large fish should an occasional big mamma come along- even if your primary target(stripers, blues, fluke, tog, weakfish, ling, catfish, etc. are in the medium sized category(for the most part! So, if your main purpose for this real is to catch the aforementioned species, it can and will handle the occasional big mamma(Of the named species) No, not tuna! That said, this reel has withstood the test of time. The stainless components(versus softer brass) and the Accuframe are both top ... moreof the line. Drag washers are very easy to replace and upgrade on this reel. If you like that classic feel(versus a much more expensive alternative) then this reel is definitely a nice choice. Here is nice clean hard to find Penn 259 reel. It has been gone through and has a new drag. It has a Black Accurate Frame and an Aluminum Spool there is one bad screw hole on the frame but it has not affected the performance of the reel. This is the reel they used to put the transmissions on to increase the retrieve speed when fishing iron. This is a rare hard to find reel to fish or collect. It has some minor scratching on the chrome rings, but the drag is smooth, the clicker is loud and it spins free. It is ready to fish.
